grew up in Belmont, went to college at NC State so now I'm living in Rawdog aka Raleigh. I heard Belmont blew up and got to big for its britches, wish my parents would have stayed around there a bit longer though. Good memories

I bought my 96 down in NC and all I have to say is - DAMN. I was driving through country and all of a sudden BAM - Z06 - BAM - TERMINATOR - BAM - LIGHTNING - I'm convinced all of the pristine muscle cars like to hide out down there and AMEN to that.

Hey, it's good to see so many NC'ers on here. We lived in Cameron for 3 yrs (Southern Pines area) and then years later we were in Mebane (Burlington area) for a couple of months.

We are facing the possibility of relocating to the Mooresville area. What is the Mustang scene like around there? How about racing? Drag and road course racing?

Thanks. Yes, we have been down since March. Checked out Mooresville a couple of times. I am not into 1/8th mile... we recently attended our first on track event and are hooked. We'll be attending as many Tarheel Sports Car Club events as possible this year.

isn't there a big cruise in in Huntersville on thursdays? At the Brusters Ice Cream, exit 28, I think it is. When I lived down in Charlotte, I would go there, pretty nice old cars, few newer.

I am still looking for a good cruise in around the Triad area.

that one I mentioned is a nice one, if you like street rods, and older muscle cars. It is still nice to show the world the modern muscle:thumbsup:
