Should have told him to Coyote swap it! It ain't no Chevy 350!
Yeah a lot of contradicting info in that video. It was written off? 2k miles? Not very clear besides one cracked crank.C63 doesn’t have fpc. Amg gt black does

The whole situation is a mess. It looks like, as @black99lightnin said, that the block and crank are actually from an AMG GT Black engine, not a C63 engine. That could explain the engine failure caused by the mismatched lower bearing cradle. The cradle probably is from a C63 cross-plane crank engine and that's why it doesn't have the steel bearing reinforcements that the block has. As for the cracked crank, that's a manufacturing defect and if the engine had been in use longer it might have failed, hopefully under warranty.Yeah a lot of contradicting info in that video. Interesting - so what's with the steel reinforcing on the block side of the main bearings? I'd think that if they need it on the top, it'd be on the lower cradle as well.^ blocks and rods are the same across the 4.0 lineup. m176/m177 single and twin scroll, and m178 single and twin scroll(Black Series).
