Si was neutered 2 days ago, stayed one night at the Vet and I picked him up yesterday. So far, he's doing well and getting in some good sleep while we watched TV last night.
I wish i could sleep like that. lol
It appears he does not have to wear the "cone of shame"?
Way to go OP! My wife and I rescued two pits a couple of years ago. We were at the shelter and noticed how the area where they held the animals had different houses in a u-shape. The way the attendant described their process of getting new dogs, I knew the shelter on the right was basically death row. So my wife and I immediately went to this one. A few cage down on my right was a male pit/boxer mix (brindle)who was so happy to see us and was extremely loving. There was another dog in there with him, white female pit/lab mix, sitting in the corner looking terrified to hell. I mean shaking, and wouldn't make eye contact with us. So we took the two of them out to the play area and she lit up like a puppy! After seeing the two playing with each other and how friendly and loving they were to us, we adopted them right there and took them home. I've had 40+ dogs since I was a kid (I lived on a farm) and my boy is the most loyal and loving dog I've ever had. The girl is my wife's dog and she doesn't leave her side. Moral of the story, save a life at the shelter, trust me, they know what you've done for them and they won't forget it!
That's awesome.
How is he adjusting to you and your wife and having so much attention all the time? He must be loving it.
