Good numbers. Why didn't you go with the 2.93 pulley?

Well all I can say he held out longer then mosts. hehehehe Great numbers Jimmy!! Jim made a wise choice in the 3.10. It makes the boost, has a nice belt wrap and the belt don't slip. Better to have 13-14 lbs of boost all through the rpm range then to have 15 then have it drop to 10 by 5000 rpm. Now for the 2 lb lower! lol
Congrats JImmy

The belt i used is 74.5 Stock belt is 75.5.
I made the mistake of driving a pullied car..
I went with the 310 from Rick..I always take his advice. He gave me a boost level i feel comfortable with..I really only wanted 12lbs.The 320 size would of been ok also.
I really didn't want more boost. :chicken:

So are you saying that the reason for peoples boost dropping off w/the L pulley and smaller, is due to belt slip?

Another reason for my decision.
While at Bowling Green i saw 293 pullied cars getting the same or more MPH as the 280 pulied cars.As a matter of fact there was a car there with 6lb lower and L(293)upper that ran 96MPH to the 1/8 and only 118 to the 1/4.That car dynoed 515/545 All that tqe aint worth a dam after the first 100 ft.Once you get to 6400 and back to about 5000 ,your peak TQE number is not going to help you.
500 rwhp on the dyno nice number, however how much of the 500 will you have after 3 gears under load?
I will take my car to the track soon to get real world numbers..
Larger pullied cars seemed to fair better on the big end.

I would think the 3.1" pulley would be better suited for the blower, not maxing out its effieciency, sp.., sounds like it, seems the boost doesnt fall off, great job guys

Correct me if im wrong, but doesn't the 2.93 pulley give 12-12.5lbs of boost and you are running 3.10 and have 14-15lbs...that doesn't seem right...

does the cool air kit make the boost rise also??
