I was out in the garage tonight looking at caged lowers and it made me think, are you going to stud the crank now that you're running an aftermarket lower?
Did you add any extra foundation for the bolts and stuff? Or is it the standard pad for the garage? I just want to make sure that I have all my ducks in a row.. I had a good tax return this year and with me doing all the maintenance on my cars I feel like the lift is justifiable
Just buy a $20 tester. Really not a big hassle to test your fuel. Little water, little E85 and shake. Malcolm's system will be awesome when finished, but most people should be fine testing at the pump. That's what I'm saying! Malcolm, is it possible to integrate that flex fuel sensor into any return fuel system? Or do you need the proper ecu/engine management software? Major concern of mine for when I go E85. Don't want to stress about ethanol levels.
I gotcha. Yea man he is on it!!!! Lol That's the whole reason I wanna go E85 to begin with. Seeing all these hardcore Terminator guys swear by it! I've been reading up on it for weeks now hahaJust buy a $20 tester. Really not a big hassle to test your fuel. Little water, little E85 and shake. Thats awesome that your studding the crank! So are you planning to keep the TVS and spin it harder?
Man you are doing some excellent work on the Terminator. Bravo sir.
I spy that TT P car that you always wanted. I need to see and hear more on that ASAP.
98 Saleen Cobra,
I just put a lift in also. I was looking at the MaxJax as well and had planned to get one. I know many guys with it and it's a great unit. However, I ended up with an Atlas from Greg Smith Equipment after reading about it on garagejournal.com. It's not much more money but it can lift a little higher as long as you have the ceiling for it. It's not removable/portable like the Maxjax though. http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Atlas-BP8000

The Cobra is always my main car that I really love but the 911 has been a child hood dream since as early as I can remember. A couple years ago it finally became a reality.
Lots of cool extras on it. Ceramic rotors, GT2 spec Fisk wheels, GT2 rear deck lid and wing, and a whole ton of stuff I won't bore you with. Bigger turbos of course, custom exhaust, light weight RS3 flywheel and clutch etc. Around 600 AWD hp on 91 pump gas. PSS9 coil overs and drives like its on rails. The original owner tracked the car so it's setup for road coarse.
That lift you posted there looks very nice too. I went the maxjax route due to low ceiling height. The intent was to move it upstairs to another garage setup I have with much higher ceiling later but that never happened lol. It just stays down in my main work area.
Thank you for the link! I'll have to check it out. The lift will be purchased in the next few months, so I have some time. I do like the removable option though.
Since the radio is an unused ornament in my car and has been pretty much since I've owned it I finally swapped it out for something I'll actually enjoy and use.
That's live data from my car you see above there too. It syncs wirelessly with my car.
Its essentially a tablet with the Shadow Dash app from EFI Analytics running on there. It syncs wirelessly to my MS3-Pro.
I mocked it in place with some tape and then siliconed it down forever lol.
It's pretty slick. Not only can you customize what ever gauges you want where ever you want but you can also set a bunch of checks as you can see below. For example if data logging has failed or the SD card is not present it'll light up the appropriate square red. Or perhaps the flex fuel sensor has failed or is giving an abnormal reading out of range it'll light up that square red so right away I know there's something going on I need to look at.
The other really slick part is I used an app "auto sleeper" that monitors the cars ignition power. So when I turn the key on the display lights up and activates. When I turn the key off it'll wait X number of seconds that you can set and it'll turn the display off and put the tablet into sleep mode.
It works really quick and well. Gives the display and OEM feel since it comes on and off automatically with the ignition key.
This is the kit I've been looking at. I always test my ethanol at the pump to see what I'm getting.
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/231367902689
Dont waste your time on that. if wanting something to monitor ethanol content get the innovate kit. it does way more for the same price. it's a wideband, boost gauge, ethanol content and fuel temp gauge all in one and can datalog with it when setup for it. I'm extremely close to pulling the trigger on one.
