Speaking of John Candy.....another great one from 1988! The Great Outdoors

And then there's one of the best comedies of that era (1986).....Ferris Bueller's Day Off!

Weekend at Bernie's
Dazed And Confused

Some Late 90's but think it still counts?
Face/Off
The Rock
Con Air
American History X
Goodfellas
Forrest Gump
Fight Club
Practically All Arnold Movie's
Rocky Movies
Tommy Boy/Black Sheep
The Sandlot

To think we used to have ton of great entertaining movies to watch before and now all we have is mainly comic book, remakes, reboot's or "agenda" movies.

I just saw Starship Troopers for the first time.
A couple of great sets in that movie

Hook
All the jack Ryan movies, red October, clear and present, etc...
Goodfellas
Casino
Faceoff
Conair
Field of dreams
Mystery science theater 3000

Great movie! I saw it in the theater with a friend and we were both tripping on the quality of the gore effects. Plus it was funny and you see Dina Meyer topless.
What did you think?

Great movie. Kind of corny and fun on one end and deep and dark on the other. Totally underrated IMO.
