With a Sullivan and Navi heads I'm sure I could get a very streetable 450rwhp out of one. With 03/04 heads and modified Sullivan over 500 streetable rwhp would not be out of the question. I would never stroke one.

You'll get more torque with an Aussie Boss intake.
Boss 315 is rated (flywheel) at 406 HP and 422 torque from the factory.
Cobra R is under-rated at 385/385
Aussie motor has 03-04 heads.(FPV says "R" heads but they are not)
I have a few Aussie intakes here,
and some modded for install in an SN95 or New Edge.

(Long thread but a lot of pics. vids on page 21 I think)

With a stock Navi long block, Aussie intake, and LT's
mine was estimated by a dyno tuner (he drove it) at around 330-340 RW.
Also, it got 25 mpg on a trip.
It pulls hard all the way to 6500 and would absolutely kill my Mach 1.
No need to stroke a 5.4, as it is already at 4.17". (lots of torque)

The 260, 290 and 302 uppers are the same,
but the 315 upper has a dual blade.
All the lowers are the same.
The lower is a work of art.

My new design upper in a new Edge.
Now the 5.4 32V bolts right in.
A 99-01 Cobra or a Mach it's so easy you wouldn't believe it.
I spent 3.5 years developing this.

Always wondered... since stroking these is out, is going with the sleeved big bore the same process as the 4.6's?

How big would that be?

Here is a comparison of 2000 "R" lower and an Aussie lower.
The Aussie is on the left.

BB 5.4s make good power but the sleeving process is a bit more tricky since the block is iron. However, Modular Performance has a BB 5.4 that has proven to be pretty reliable under race conditions.

Now there's a motor.
Could you imagine the torque?

Yeah, John and I were planing on building the New GT40 aluminum block machined for wet sump, and "Big Bore" it, to a legendary 351CIs, billet rods, FGT heads and some custom cams.....but the cost of the motor build would have spended my "budget". Not too mention, intake selection, custom headers, etc.

One of the sickest NA builds ever......

Thanks Carlos.
That pic is a mockup before welding.
Here's one welded and powder coated.
Throttle bracket not installed at that point, but it is now.
