The 50th Anniversary Edition 2015 Mustang GT at my local dealer in CT was priced exactly the same.

Wait till GM releases the Camaro. If it beats the crap out of the Mustang, Ford will come up with another performance bad ass that the '11-'14 Mustang was. It was the Coyote Powered GT that could finally stick it to GM and be in the front running (straight line or track) for cars under 40k. If GM does a bad ass camaro, expect Ford to have another Ace up its sleeve. At least I hope they do!

Dealership I bought my GT500 from has an anniversary marked up 15k or so.

I asked my salesman and he said they're selling for markups. Apparently 3 or 4 dealerships have contacted them about buying it to sell at an even higher markup.

I'm not saying it's my favorite thing, but if I have a product someone is willing to pay me extra for, you better believe I'm gonna sell it.

There's almost nothing I own that doesn't have a price. I look at this the same way.

lol give me a break, you would drive to another dealer, likely out of your way, because they are in the business of making money?

Kearney Pearson Ford, around the corner from my apt, was trying to get similar money for a '15 Premium GT. Ill still get my oil changed there, their service department is not their sales dept. Will I buy a Mustang from them? Nope.

Someone will probably get them down to $55k and theyll accept it, the seller feeling great about the deal and the dealership making money. If you are against this practice/model, then I better not hear shit from you when Tesla sells direct to the consumer.

I drove to Michigan... From DELAWARE... To buy my lightning.

I have no qualms about driving for a fair deal with an honorable dealership or pvt seller.

So yes. I would happily drive out of town and not given money to scumbags.

Fyi I went through this with my first Shelby... First one I looked at? It was marked up 10k.

Needless to say I paid a few grand under MSRP

Not talking about buying a car from them.

Talking about getting service done, which is what the OP was doing.

FromGTtoSVT stated he would "not do business" with a dealer like that, which encompasses all aspects of the dealers services, and you agreed and quoted him.

So you would go out of your way to avoid a dealer like that just because of their crazy ADM?

I get my service and will continue to buy my ford vehicles from(provided they give me the best deals) from Preston Ford in Georgetown DE.

They gave me a great deal, however reluctant, on my 14. And the service department there rocks. I do not have any complaints about them.

Would I avoid the service department because of crazy whacked out sales department shenanigans? Doubtful. I consider them separate.

Two dealers near me have massive markups on their 50th editions as well. Nobody has touched em in months. I'm happy to see the dealer eat the interest every passing day. :)
