Can you believe that this will be our 9th shootout! Great times for sure with all types of winners- we have had turbos win it, twin screws win it and centrifugals win it-something for everyone. This will be the SVT shootout at MIR where all classes are eligible for prizes to be given away to the racers-this isnt like the killer giveaway we had in BG last yr-that will be in play for BG again, but this is being done by the NMRA and manufacturers for everyone who is in the SVT shootout, cars and trucks included.

Bradenton was alot of fun but everyone who is racing in the Terminator/GT500 shootout needs to send Jake or I CONTACT NUMBERS OR EMAIL ADDRESSES so we can keep in contact during the weekend-people who left after getting eliminated or breaking didnt get their trophies. Also please park with the class, makes it easier on me tracking everyone down.

One minor rule change-motor plates are now acceptable

Anyone with any ideas or opinions please post them up!! Want to get together as a group one night for a dinner, if anyone has suggestions speak up, especially the locals

Rules TERMINATOR/GT500 SHOOTOUT

Class DescriptionTerminator / GT500 Shootout is for OEM chassis (VIN verified) '03-'04Cobra and '07-'14 GT500 stock appearing vehicles using a Ford modular 4.6, 5.4 or 5.8 V-8 (4v) based enginesonly.Qualifying InformationLadder Type & Tree: All Run, ladder based on car count, NHRA Pro .400 tree, Heads-Up

1: ENGINE Engine must be a Modular 4.6/5.4/5.8 based V-8 Ford engine. Internalmodifications are permitted COOLING SYSTEM Any radiator (required), water pump and cooling fan/fans permiTed.Cooling system must be contained in engine compartment.EXHAUSTAny header size / tubing permitted. Open headers, downpipe ok. Bumper / fender exit ok.FUEL-DELIVERY SYSTEM : OEM or aftermarket tank in trunk or stock location. No fuel cells in enginebay.FUEL: All fuels permitted.NITROUS OXIDE\SUPERCHARGER\TURBOCHARGER: Any power adder or combination of poweradders permitted (nitrous oxide, supercharger, or turbocharger or a combination) Meth injection okOILING SYSTEM: Wet sump systems onlyINTAKE MANIFOLD: No air intake coolers in passenger compartment.

2: DRIVETRAINREAREND: OEM or Bolt in 8.8 or 9 inchTRANSMISSION: Any automatic or manual transmission permitted

3: BRAKES & SUSPENSIONFRONT SUSPENSION:K-MEMBERS: Aftermarket K-Members permitted, but must attach to the chassis using only the originalfactory OEM type mounting bolts in the factory mounting location. Engine must mount to k-member or motor plates No part of the K-member may be permanently attached to the chassis. K-member may bemodified in oil pan area to allow oil pan enlargement or removal.CONTROL ARMS: OEM or tubular stock type control arms required which must be attached in stocklocationSHOCKS/STRUTS/SPRINGS: OEM or aftermarket shocks/struts/springs permitted. May use coil overs.REAR SUSPENSION:STOCK TYPE SUSPENSION: Stock type suspension may utilize aftermarket,direct replacement type suspension components including aftermarketreplacement shocks, springs, coil overs and/or control arms. 5: TIRES & WHEELSTires: Any tire allowedWheels: Spindle mount wheels prohibited

6: INTERIOR/UPHOLSTERY Must have full factory type upholstery, including carpet, door panels, headliner, and factory dash. Driver’s and passenger’s seats are required and in the stock locaCATION on. Passenger seat may be removed for weight reduction.Aftermarket front seats are permited and must be upholstered.Rear seat may be removed.

7: BODYOEM steel (fiberglass/composite if OEM equipped) body shell required. Aftermarket body partsare permitted. Hood is required. Any rear wing permitted.WINDSHIELD & WINDOWS OEM glass or NHRA approved Lexan is required and must maintain a Ford OEM appearance.For example: Optic Armor replacement windows. No braces FIREWALL: Stock, unaltered firewall required

8: ELECTRONICSTrans brake, 2 step, and aftermarket ECU permitted

Last year was a lot of fun! Not going to make it this year ( kids in college & no tow vehicle) hopefully we have it here again next year!

Won't it be harder to get more terminators since our cars were only made 03 04 as to the Shelby's 07 to 14? Not sure if I explained that right lol. Aren't we at a disadvantage.

There have never been a shortage of Terminators! :) May the best car/driver win! :burnout: :rockon:

Terminators usually dominate except for the last couple races......they have also won 6 out of 8 races
