LOL so true, they took the irs away to save weight and then they added it back in and its heavier LOL duh... but seriously Ford should have never went back to the IRS. They are behind in the suspension game imo, motors are impressive though.

You do realize the weight gain is marginal in a base model, right? Like 40lbs or so...I cannot remember the exact # but it is a small increase for a completely new and resigned chassis that is light-years ahead of the previous model.

Technically, base model to base model based on info online it looks like its about 99 lbs heavier.

One of the problems associated with weight loss is the varying government mandates on safety. These are must weight as little as possible to be fuel efficient, but strong enough to pass a wide multitude of crash tests.
