They don't come attached. The dealer isn't allowed to let the car off the lot with it pre-installed. At least thats what they told me for the 2012. Apparently it can set off the airbags if it hits a speed bump or something.

Rusty, people all over the country are paying MSRP for Bosses. Just need to find a dealer that wants to sell the car quickly. If you look on Ebay, there's quite a few Bosses for MSRP all the time.
I simply called every dealer who had one, or had one coming off the truck, and told them I would buy immediately if they were selling for MSRP. Took me 4 dealers to find one that said they were. I did have to drive 300 miles to get it, but well worth it....
I bought a LS. I had trouble finding one. I found one on ebay and talked to their internet sales guy. I ended up paying 5000 over MSRP plus the cost to have it shipped from Georgia to Los Angeles. I felt like I got away ok with only a 5000 mark up.

I got my car for MSRP and I didnt pay and document fees. I was the first non ford employee to step inside the car too. Ahhh, it was a good feeling! I did notice they are selling for up to 50k at other dealerships.
Paid sticker for mine last August, they had it off the truck and in showroom for 3 days. I spoke with the owner and he advised me to come in to speak with him and no salesmen. They even took my 04 Mach1 in for trade, received 15,000 for my Mach1.

I paid sticker, had it courtesy delivered to my dealer for no extra charge, and got track key installed for free.
A good friend of mine, he got his LS for $1500 under sticker, with track key installed for free. Only catch on his was it was in Florida, an he lives on Long Island, so he took a one way flight down, and drove it 1080 miles back in 18 hours.
I literally asked them if they thought I was a moron. Then they tried to tell me about how Jay Lenno had ordered it then not bought it and it was car #18 and all this BS. I told them they were stupid for telling me Lenno ordered it then refused it because Lenno was a man of impecable taste and I wanted to know what was wrong with the car that he rejected it. Then I told them to give it to me for less then MSRP because it obviously had something wrong. They guy just walked away at that point.
