Depends on what you mean by "bolt on". A stock LS2 should pull a stock Mustang. If it doesn't the owner is a retard.

12.70x @ 113.00 - Blackmajik - 07 A6 - (1627)
12.71x @ 111.30 - Flyin05 - 05 M6 Z51
12.71x @ 111.00 - Demented - 05 A4 Z51

Based on your times there, that honestly looks like a driver's race to me. Stock 5.0s are in that same wheelhouse.

When my 300A M6 car (had 3.55s, stock brembo wheels, CAI, full exhaust, and a conservative tune), I raced a 2011 GS M6 w/ factory GM performance exhaust . We ran from 40-140 a couple of times and the vette always had me by 1/3 to 1/2 a car when we shut it down.

And I dont feel like I have something to prove being 27 and owning a vet.

Meh!!! I'm 31 and to be honest if I didnt need a backseat for my daughter I would have probably opted for the Vette. I dont have anything to prove either I just think they are nice cars...however im glad I ended up with the 5.0 , a lot cheaper and they seem to run just as good stock vs stock & Mod vs. Mod...

Same reason I got the mustang instead of a vette

I just bought another car for that duty. I had the 2011 5.0 with car seats installed in the back for my toddlers. They didnt fit well, and it was totally uncomfortable for all of us to go anywhere. Once the car seats are done, it would work great. But thats years away for me.

I don't own a 5.0, but I can comment on the C6 and LS2, since I owned a 06 vette. Too me the corvette felt very fast at low speeds, I mean in empty parking lots it felt invinsable. However, at highway speeds and higher, the LS2 didn't feel as fast and really doesn't pull to redline very hard. My friends 10 LS3 grandsport pulls much harder in the high rpm.

With the C6's cheap interior/seats, boring LS2 engine sound, and having to contort my body to get in and out, I sold it.. Will shopping for a 2011+ 5.0 in the spring.

IMO i think they will be really close stock vs stock and modded vs modded.
stock ls2 c6's dynos 340-350whp/ 3305lbs vs stang's 360-380whp/ 3600lbs
Full boltons C6 dyno 380-390whp vs stangs 410-420whp

It will be a good race !

I have two races against vettes, one was a c6 Auto and I beat him by a car and a half 30-80 plus. The other time was against a c5 z06. We race three times from a dig and I was ahead all three. Then again the C6 vette driver was like 300 lbs and had a passenger, while the C5 Z06 was carrying his 120 lb girlfriend. The Z06 driver was being cocky and got what he deserved though. Either way I am sure both cars were faster than my car with the right driver and a longer stretch of road no doubt. What matters is what happens right there and then, numbers and everything else doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning, kidding :D

i justt traded my c6 ls2 for a 2013 5.0 and they are about even. (auto vs auto). i raced a couple in the vette and unless it was a high mph roll race the 5.0's stcuk right around
