2003 Cobra

Hello all, I just recently bought an 03 Cobra about a week ago so I am new to this. The car only has 8,700 miles and the prev owner upgraded the supercharger pulley, BBK CAI, has a short throw shifter, and tuned on 91 octane, supposedly makes 500 HP...is there any other mods I would need starting off? I see alot of Cobras that get lowered, which springs are best for that? Thanks for any replies.

Thank you! I’m definitely loving it so far. It’s a dream car on my list for a long time I had to jump on it when I saw it. Coming from a Civic Type R so definitely huge difference in power, sound, feel, supercharger, etc. I love it!

I have a vert as well with H&R springs. Love them. I have the race ones for coupes. The don’t make them for verts. Get frame connectors as mentioned. Get rid of the stock ones if it still has them. Enjoy..

Oh so you run the race springs still with modifications to it or no? Do you guys have the part number I would need for my car and is it like a full inch or half an inch? I also want to know about wheel hop, I’ve seen some videos that Cobra suffer from that, how does it happen and how is it fixed?

Just look up H&R race springs, and select convertible. Replacing all the IRS bushings with some maxim motorsports bushings is what I did. It does ride a little bit rougher, however putting springs on it will change that aspect too.

Customer had a dyno that it put down 483rwhp or something like that.

I have no idea. Car runs super hard. Seems comparable to other cars I've drive with the same power levels.
