Just got done installing stainless works headers and the full 3' exhaust

Sct Ba-3000

Also changed the whipple pulley to. 2.75 for a total of 19psi

Gt pumps and fore hat w/ dual FPDM

Had the car tuned at Speedy Dyno in Owensboro, ky he uses a superflow

This run was with the car cooled down, 18deg timing, and 26 or 28% load on the Dyno. Ive seen a few other cars done here and the runs seem right for the mods

Ok /flame suit on

headers fit great. i cant say that for the cat back part of the stainless works. worked hours trying to get everything right and it just didnt seem to fit right. i plan to take to a muffler shop and get everything fixed up.

car runs awesome and i want to the believe the numbers are real. its much much more than i had planned. 2 more psi and headers = thats much power

i have 60lb injectors and they maxed out at 720 and he bumped the rails to 44 from 39 and that helped alot but he said i really need 80's now. gt pump was hitting in the 90% range if i remember right

what do you think about the numbers Jason? the car is really a handfull on the road now. :burnout:

Well, hard to say. It is a 2.3 right? They might seem a bit high, but it could be the dyno or maybe it is realistic. Going from 2.5" to the 3" and bringing the boost back up will pick up decent power. What were you making before?

The real test is the track. The dyno is just the tuning tool. Get a MPH out of it. Bumping he pressure is typical. 44psi isn't much at all

Ugh, I was going to go with american racing, but now you have me thinking SW.

the headers are great, i've done a lot of diffrent headers on other cars but Stainless Works is the best i've messed with so far.

catback fitment really should be easy to fix just not someting i want to do myself.

yes 2.3 the car did 640 @ 17psi on the same dyno a year ago. he started at like 15deg and it just keep picking up power. i've seen other cars on his superflow and the putout the right range numbers to me.

i really hate to put it back on the track. the last time i broke a halfshaft and bent the input shaft on the trans

Sorry that the catback install wasn't cooperating, but good to hear that the headers fit great. Must sound really awesome now! :)

Oh, and great numbers!!!!!

Sweet! Nothing like doing some mods and it paying off.

I'd say the numbers are right at about 10% too high.

No big deal, just always use that dyno, then it wont matter. If you want a number to compare to everyone elses, you are going to have to find a DynoJet and make a pull, then look at the "SAE" numbers.

These (750 w/ 2.3) #'s are 23-24 PSI, with cams and a little more compression, on a decent gas, type of numbers.

i'll try to find another dyno to compare the numbers. i was thinking the same thing the numbers are high but must be within 10% or so

exhaust with x-pipe and cats was around $1200 and headers around $900

yeah the car is a little over the top now

the car did 639hp before the mods on the same dyno. i really didn't think headers made this kinda difference because everything I've read was like 10hp so don't waste the money and time

I would definitely like to see it on another dyno. It's basically impossible for a 2.3l to put down those kind of numbers, especially on 19lbs and 93 octane. That blower wouldn't even see that on 23lbs and E-85. Not trying to bash you or your car by any means, just saying you should definitely take it somewhere else that can give you some reliable feedback. Those are 2.9 crusher/3.4l numbers on boost in the 20s. I am at 634 hp/629tq with a 3.2 upper and 4lb lower on my 2.3l whipple at 19lbs with ARH long tubes. Let's hear that thing though!

If I got a tune on a 2.3 Whipple car that only went to 5,950 rpm's I'd walk out and never go back.

Those numbers are WAY over 10% over what they should be.
