Someone has to defend the 99 Newedge Cobras..I guess it must be me.

It is interesting how the '01 folks disown the '99 and yet all or most of the other "purists" want our front bumpers and tail lights....and somehow, in the same breath hate the look of the newedge cobras.

And as far as some unknown ford mechanical engineer's opinion of the newedge cobras looks goes, he can take it up with Coletti..

PS: i know this may upset you but if you spent any limited time (or even just sat) in 01 Cobra, Bullitt or Mach 1 seats you would know there is quite a bit more bolstering/support then 99 Cobra/GT seats.

My 01 has raised some eyebrows from Machs and 03/04 cobras a like...most of the 03 guys were jelous of the fr500 sound lol...the best one was ported 03 that lost. ( early when steg first started porting thr eatons). He was like i really didnt expect you to keep up, let alone start pullin away...and did i hear a KB?...yes yes you did lol

I also remember getting raped by a F1A Mach and huge turbo civic hatch at the same time in Tampa years ago...the hatch raped the mach too...thing was ****in stupid

This took an unexpected turn.

When I had my 01 I got asked all the time why I took the stock blower off. At first I explained the differences. Then I started walking away. I think the funniest one was when I was at a red light with my buddy in the passenger seat. I had the D1 on so it was kinda noticeable at idle. Some dude on the corner asked if I had the blower ported. I looked at him for a second, said "no", then drove off. My buddy said that dude was confused as hell.
