Well I just took my bone stock 93 cobra w/37k to the strip june 3rd '06 and there's no way anyone could run 13's on a stock cobra. I ended up with a best of [email protected]. 100% stock down to the air silencer and gatorbacks. I've owned many cars that i've drag raced including a previous 93 Cobra and although I didn't powershift, i'm no rookie to the strip. Slicks alone would put the car in the 13's but I don't consider that stock. Track conditions were 95* and 900ft elevation and 60ft was 2.2's. I'm sure I could have ran a couple tenths better with decent air but getting off the line just won't happen on the gatorbacks.

If those gatorbacks are more than a year or two old, THAT is a lot of your problem. When they get old, they spin like it's going out of style.

Most people get their best times on street tires by slipping the heck out of the clutch on the start - 1.9's are attainable on street tires, if you are willing to sacrifice a clutch... :D
