That clearance is plentiful.

Is that rust on the wheel barrel or just dirty?

Told you it'd work. :p

Gah I can't believe brake dust did that much damage....doesn't make me very confident in Forgestar's finish quality...

I drove around on my wheels without cleaning them for probably a year or so. I blame 60-65 hour work weeks and traveling every week. :/ Either way, the dust got wet and had awhile to do its thing.

I don't think it matters what wheel or finish, so it isn't really Forgestar. And FWIW, their finish was better/stronger than Enkei's.

I put on the 6-pot from GT500 on my GT, and those massive 15" rotors weight a lot, seeing the difference on how the 2015 15" rotors are thicker and taller, I wounder how much more do those weight compared to the GT500. I think GT500 rotor weight around 31-33 pounds each. They work great but I did notice that the extra weight did make the car not as nimble on turns, was even thinking about buying 2 piece rotors to drop some of that weight, but dont have funds for any at this time.

Given the increase in rotor height, thickness and possibly rotor face thickness (I took measurements but need to post them), I'd guess 1-3 pounds.

Yeah, they aren't cheap.

so to re-cap getting 6-pot front brakes on a 2013 GT:

2015 PP calipers (and hardware)
13-14 GT500 rotors
13-14 GT500 brake lines or aftermarket braided lines?

how about some decent sources for this stuff?

Russell stainless lines, not 13-14 GT500 lines, other wise correct. Unless I missed where 2Fass said GT500 lines will work.

Sources?
Calipers and hardware: Ebay for new take offs.
13-14 GT500 rotors: Rockauto $50/each
Russell Stainless lines: Amazon.com $108

what do y'all mean when you say "2015 PP calipers"?
and the hardware is just the bolts and stuff right?
I have a 2015 with the brembo's on it, but my ole lady would KILL me if I took them off and tried to put them on my car just to see if they would fit! I kinda like that.....shes just as picky about her car as I am about mine, so i can't bitch.

Gottcha. Called my parts guy and supposedly my calipers are on the way......we'll just have to see if they are the right ones.

So, I ordered 2015 gt 4 piston calipers and the 2014 GT500 rotors and they don't fit. The rotor is too tall. Did I mix some things up here?

Yes. Using the 2013/14 GT500 rotors, you need the 2015+ 6 (SIX) piston calipers. Not the 4 pistons.

Test-fitting the 18" Forgestar CF5, one of the only wheels known to clear this package.

I would say that this does NOT clear. Sure it fits all snugly inside, but if you use these the way they intend to be (on a track), and you get a little pebble stuck in there, it's going to cause some unpleasant noises, but also THIS

If you're prepared to cause a serious weakspot on the barrel of a wheel, go for it, but clearances that are THAT tight should be taken with some caution. Try to shoot for about 3mm's worth of clearance (that looks like in some spots 2mm or less, and some areas 1mm)
