I got my parents hooked up with that a few years ago, can get up to 4 people any age in on one pass. Yellowstone is just a couple hours away, and the idiot watching is hilarious. the park system has one thing backwards, they euthanized the baby bison instead of the tourist that put the thing in their car. Even with signs up, natural selection works well for the tourist that went hot-potting in boiling water.
I wasn't always this twisted by the way. I went form thinking"no, you cant do something that stupid" too many times later of being unable to figure out why they keep doing those things. Now its more like "grab a beer and watch this one, $1 says this one is dumb enough to put his kid on the bison for a picture"

You forgot choice number three: Refuse to be the victim of a shakedown.

Our government is ALWAYS taking money from us and then expecting more from in some fashion or another.

I'm going to quote my grandfather, a weathered WW2, Korea, and Vietnam Colonel in the Air Force.

"Freedom isn't free"

... and neither are parks, roads, schools, defense, infrastructure, or anything really. Taxes have a place. You'll be okay paying ten dollars. I promise.

In the past 3 years we've done Crater Lake, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Natural Bridges and Saguaro.

Planning a West Coast trip next summer to visit a lot of the Bay Area Parks and Redwoods. Yellowstone in 2020 as we haven't been there in 20 years. Want to see it before its wiped off the map.

If I identify as a 62 year old xi will they give it to me for 10 bucks?

Cool service
ha, I wonder if they make you show ID when trying to use it.

Should I tell him that the government charges me $10 for a fishing license to fish the oceans?
And I'm happy to pay it because it helps the ocean and the fish. I want them to keep track of what's going on out there.

As far as paying $10 for the national parks at least like he said he has a choice. He or anyone else can stay home. How many thousands of dollars do my wife and I pay to programs that we want nothing to do with especially in taxachusetts? The second most liberal shithole in the country behind KA.

Papa must be aware we already pay taxes for everything under the sun, no?

Clearly you have zero idea with whom you speak. I wouldn't pay one George Washington to enter any national park considering I already pay taxes going towards such expenditures. The principal is what matters here.

I sent my parents a second reminder about this. My dad qualifies. They've wanted to visit Yellowstone for some time. I told them buying the pass will be the motivation to finally make it out there.
