Off Topic- Did I ever say that the Z06 was not a great car. Don't get me wrong, the Z06 is a great car and stock for stock it is absolutely the better performance car, no argument here. Still superior, I'd still have to argue that, because the base price of the Z06 when it was new was around $50,000, the base price of the EVO is around $30,000-$35,000, that's a a $15,000 to $20,000 difference there. It would take a 2005 EVO under $2,000 to better the Z06 acceleration numbers. We can argue about this all day, I agree the Z06 is stock for stock the better car no doubt and is worthy of a $50,000 price tag, but when you start throwing things around such as superior, then I'm gonna disagree with that. Choose your words better then.

I'm sorry but bringing out price is just plain stupid, I could buy an old notch for 5g and put 25grand into it and laugh @ both cars, I could buy a blah blah blah blah blah blah.

I know I only brought up price to prove a point to 3000ways. If you didn't gather our little discussion was more about the most well rounded sports car not the fastest in a straight line.....where of course your scenario would be faster, but it would not be better at any other performance measure.

.....and Shep's car is definately not a daily driver of street anything considering he is running 100% methanol and that is why his times are so far beyond any other DSM. METHANOL, his old C16 time were still better than others, but not by the margin they are now.

If we can quote the names of people whos Evos run in the 10's ...then there aren't that many. know what I mean?

I use them as fodder around here...even the so called "fast ones" pushin 23#s or more.

If you want a list of fast EVOs then check this out.

http://www.dsmtimes.org/evo.htm

That is only a list of the EVOs that know about that site aswell...you are comparing 2 cars that are made for competly different things, never under estimate the capabilities of any car.
