i was actually surprised by the outcome... That gt500 does not weigh that much more and should be making more than enough ponies to pull the terminator..
+1.

Although the vid never mentioned the pulley size that was on the GT500. Obviously it wasn't that aggressive. Also some good driving by the 03/04.

I'm guessing the GT500 probably has the 2.6 Pulley and Intake. which should be good for about 540ish on a good tune.

What does an 03 cobra like his make? ported, 15psi? 500ish?

It should make mid 500's, but the GT 500's just weigh too much, nice cars though, i was wanting the vapor one but we were 2k difference on price.

Was there a passenger in the GT500? If not there shouldn't have been much of a weight difference at all.

^Mid 500's lol? Maybe 500 to 520 tops. What's so hard about the outcome? GT500 with a pulley and cai and that's it. I'd say it did pretty good.

KYL you got a damn nice car and it runs good.

Sorry I didn't specify, that is not my car I just saw the vid and posted it.
I love a good 03/04 cobra vs GT500 race.

The car belongs to fbody83. He is my buddy from college and lives in CT. Its a ported Eaton with the metco 10lb lower. Makes almost exactly 500/500. That shifting is with the stock shifter too! The GT500 owner stated he was making 640 HP. I think the owner thought he was making 640 at the crank which is about ~540 to the wheels. Seems about right to me.

Agreed.

I wish they did a few more pulls.

most GT 500 owners that do a pulley swap choose a 2.6 inch, think thats the smallest the eaton can accept.

Stiegemeier actually offers a 2.4 and a 2.2 for the ported and "reconfigured front drive" blowers.
But I don't know of anyone on this site running them.

Id say that 95% of the pulley swaps go with the 2.6 (4#).

huh, so a term at 3650 is not too heavy?

How did you draw a line that 3650 is light enough but not 3785 (which is the exact weight of my car with 1/4 tank of gas and no passengers)

Just trying to understand ther Terminator logic

Someone got a good jump in that race, cant tell who jumped but you can hear one blower where before the next.

Perhaps just a wrong gear or something, but we need more races to get a better feel for both cars.

I know if that were my car, Id be pissed haha
