***1-Owner for the last 23 years*** I am not a dealer or a reseller. I'm selling an immaculate condition 1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. I am only selling it because I just don't drive the car and could use the garage space. I purchased this Cobra with 11,000 miles on it in May of 2000.
The...
I'm looking for a 2013-2014 Shelby GT500. I'm located in Missouri but I am willing to travel. Cash deal is good. Hoping to find one in the 48K-55K range, but will discuss exceptional examples.
- No convertibles (no offense, just already had one)
- No Bright Red, Light Blue or Black cars (no...
Ok, so I blead my brakes (98 cobra) and now the rear calipers are locked up tight. I haven't put the tires back on the car, but I can't budge the rear rotors by hand. What if anything happened here? The front calipers are fine.
Thanks...

Ok, so I just had my new Comp 2 BFG's mounted and I like the guy who mounted and balanced the tires. However, I did notice that he did not line up the yellow dots with the valve stem hole. Is that still required?
The wheels are 95 Cobra R's and they appear to have used about the same amount...
Ok, so if I use the standard Royal Purple or Lucas Differential fluid at 75W-140w...will I need a 4oz bottle of friction modifier too?
What other brands/weights do you all like?
Thanks...
This should not be this hard. The ford dealer said that my 1998 T-45 uses Motorcraft MERCON V however, a lot of other people say to use DECRON III (if you can find it) and to stay away from a Synthetic oil as the T-45 doesn't really like that time of ATF fluid.
Any thoughts?
Thanks...
I was thinking just staying with the stock brand, but do like NGK's. Some say to pay the extra $ and go with the Iridium NGK's vs Copper. I know to gap them at .052 and torque them at around 12ft. lbs.
What brand do you like?
Thanks.
Ok,
I'm going to change my spark plugs out for the first time (don't laugh). I'm going to go with NGK's (.052 gap right?). Anyway, I'm a bit freaked out by all of the stripping stories so I wanted some advise on the best process.
Step 1: PB blaster or some other penetrating oil on stock...
Ok -
I just went to the gas station and fill her up and then pulling into the driveway I heard this rather LOUD screeching sound. I left her at an idle and the sound repeated "by itself" without any throttle from me about every 90 seconds. No A/C or anything was turned on.
I then opened the...
I've done the search function and hate to be the one that starts another "gear" thread, but I still just can't decide if the 4.10's will be too much gear. I mean, will I just freaking burn out in 1st? If it's a daily driver will the 4.10's be too much gear?
1998 Cobra (N/A)
Thanks for...
At the Russell's the way to go or are there some better units out there? I can get Russell's #693400 front and rear for $132.02 shipped. Sounded pretty good.
Also, How do I get all the old brake fluid out of the system and to go with new fluid at DOT 5? What's the procedure for this on...
