Can anybody tell me why (and when) Ford stopped putting VIN stickers on all of the body panels? I am looking at '93 cobras, and it is pretty easy to tell which ones have been wrecked, painted, etc by the absence of these stickers. My '03 does not have these stickers. Just wondering why...

Do the 93's have VIN numbers on the engine and trans? If so, where are they, can they be easily viewed? It is a real cobra with a D vin and all the body tags are in place, as is the radiator support mounted "metal tag". I just want to confirm it is the right motor and trans.
