I've said that about plenty of lovers, and I don't regret a single one of them
has the potential to be one, but have not seen any beastly specs yet....

I catch myself looking at the AMG S63 coupe. What a gorgeous car. I've been browsing the Cadillac CTS-V once in a blue moon. Weistec can turn that AMG into a real beast. I've been really checking out the Audi RS3 and the Audi RS5 as well. Especially the RS3.

Negative ghost rider. Gtr is easily $100k+ and mid 500 hp with awd. This car will be none of those things. Performance nor price. It’s bmw counterpart has already been released. It will be close to that car. Modified may be a different story.
pretty much this, the new supra will be a nice sports car, but it's not going to be bonkers like that GT-R....maybe Toyota will release a crazy one down the road, but they seem to play it real conservative as a car company, so I doubt it.
Although, Toyota and Honda have made commitments to building more exciting vehicles. I believe Toyota more so than Honda at the moment even though they finally came out with the NSX after teasing it for over a decade. The NSX development makes the 2020 GT500 look like a straight to DVD movie lol.

Z4 with thr 3.0 I6 makes 382hp and 369 ft/tq. Both will be Automatic only, featuring everyone's favorite 8spd from ZF.
The car will roughly be the same size as the FRS and have similar wonky dimensions. Not the long sexy Corvete style profile of the MKIV and MKIII.
Soooo why not just buy a FRS, swap a 2JZ and call it a day.

That was my issue when I had my S4, all the VW guys wanted to be BFF's and I wasn't down with that, lol.
The FRS crowd may be some of the worst, outside of the VW and Subaru guys. They are usually young and think their FRS is exotic because it is a RWD coupe. I think the S2000 guys hate them the most lol.

Haven't run into any FRS/BRZ guys. Almost did once, neighbors brother at my old place, they were all super liberal and didn't care to speak to them for any reason as it made my head hurt, lol. Plenty to share on that.
VW guys want to be Audi guys in the worst way. No your FWD 1.8T is not similar to my TT6 AWD, ya douche. Being CO we are overrun with Sub guys, they're a walking billboard for vaping, white sunglasses, and skinny jeans. All are aggressive drivers unless you roll up on them in something they know they can't handle, then it's driving Ms Daisy.
S2000 guys were very different. They either acted like it was an exotic, or would talk of a future big turbo build to make 400hp at 8500RPM lol. Pretty sure most of them graduated to Z4's lol.
Western Washington is very similar. It's actually Subaru's hottest market in the US so we experience the same types. All of what you said is the same here. The S2000 guys are sort of stuck up at times though and are typically Japanese purists, Cambodian, or Philippino and they dump big money into their Acuras and Hondas while the Cambodians are simultaneously stealing cars and parts from everyone else lol.
We had one young kid that worked for us that bought a wrecked S2000 and one of my techs rebuilt the front end by tubing it and it turned out amazing. From the strut towers forward was this amazing fabrication work that he accomplished in just a weekend and it was even built to fit the factory parts but what does this kid do? He zip ties an FRS bumper onto the front along with the headlights and rocks it like he is something original. Both S2000 and FRS guys hated him and talked so much shit about him, and we told him his car looked like shit and was an abomination for the work our tech put into it. Same kid now has an FRS and thinks he is going to make millions from the pyramid scheme he got sucked into. They are all cut from the same moron cloth.
Literally every FRS/BRZ is owned by an 18 year old who has a 96month loan and works at a liquor store where their entire pay is towards car payment and insurance. It was worth it because the first 3 payments were "free"

Or here they work for minimum wage at their parents Pho restaurant, and can afford it because they still live at home and it is their only financial responsibility.
Those were the guys who's cars we had to repair because they thought they were in Tokyo Drift and found out the hard way that jersey barriers dont soften the blow when you run into them.
