Population density- less people =less idiots.
That's why I live in Iowa. Lived in Minnesota for a few years and hated it. Too many liberals. Moved back to my hometown in NW Iowa and never leaving. Also its the no.1 state to live!

Love the Carolinas. Born here and been here my whole life.

I'm southeast of Charlotte by about 20-25 miles just above the SC state line. Close enough to Charlotte for any major sports, concerts, etc. PLENTY of race tracks around. 1/4 mile..Zmax..Rockingham..Darlington. Many 1/8 mile dragstrips as well. Carolina Motorsports Park road course isn't far away in Kershaw,SC.
Many many motorsports related industries above Charlotte in the Mooresville area.
Concealed carry isn't an issue.
Decent job market.
Favorable cost of living.
3 hours to the beach or mountains.
Little snow in the winter.
Humid summers but it's a small price to pay.

I'm also in Charlotte. Its a great city with all the professional sports and many events going on year round. Hosting the ACC football championship, NCAA tourney, many good breweries (although they have those everywhere). As mentioned above motorsports is huge here with all the race tracks nearby. Traffic can be bad but it can easily be avoided depending on where you work. Lake Norman and Lake Wylie are also nearby.

I'm looking to buy a house but the market is definitely pretty hot here. Great sellers market but I think that is the case most places you will go.

Maybe, depends on where. I lived in Dubuque IA for 30 years and it's a shithole. Pretty area but high crime, bad paying jobs and very little opportunity. Hence I got the hell out and went to TX.

I don’t think Mass is even bad. Way better than New Hampshire lol
Do you like guns or cars? Massachusetts gets way too involved in our business. It doesnt stop there, and wont... they will keep infringing on our rights until they control us.

I live about an hour east of Sioux City in Ida Grove. Has about 2,200 people in it and a couple manufacturing plants.

I agree SW Iowa sucks. Had family that lived in Ottumwa and that town was garbage.

Sure its just rolling hills and cornfields but I can leave my house unlocked, keys in cars and not have to worry about anything.

Don’t see any issues with guns here yet. Only downfall is state inspections with cars and from the looks of things the new system they just put in may be going away.

I almost moved to MA in 2010. Good thing I didn't. The condo complex I was looking at got wiped out by the tornado that rolled through in May 2011.

Doesnt Massachusetts have an assault weapons ban and a 10-round magazine limit in addition to a Firearms permit? Seems like pretty big issues to me.

Huge issue. Most of the people here don't care much about their rights being infringed, they think that somehow assault weapon bans within the state make them safer. If Massachusetts has it their way, they'll use our tax dollars to push our gun control laws on other states.

I thought assault weapons were ban nationwide? And who needs more than 10 rounds in a magazine?
