I never realized how resilient kids could be. While he is fighting cancer, he is also dealing with the chemo diaper rash, and getting a shot in his thigh on a daily basis to make his bone marrow work harder.

Davidhasselhoff, that is one question I have asked myself since the 13th of November. Not just why my son would go through it, but any little kid would have to. They should be running around without a care in the world. I really wish it could have been me that was diagnosed. He is happy though and doesn't realise what's going on so far.

Tomorrow I can't wait to wake up and get Christmas started with him. He loves the Christmas tree and has been taking down our ornaments and hiding them lol.

Anthony is adorable and I'm so glad to hear about his progress. 4 years ago was the worst Christmas of my life as my daughter was going through chemo (16 rounds total). 3 years ago was the best Christmas of my life as she was cancer free and still is.

I know exactly what you are going through. I cried every morning for 2 months straight on my half hour drive in to work, just to get it out.

You already are, and will continue to be, amazed by the strength your son will show you. I'm sure your son, like my daughter is to me, will be your hero. Feel free to PM me with anything I can do to help you and your family with.

I always tell anybody that will listen that I haven't had a bad day in over 4 years. You will, if you haven't already, gain very clear perspective on life.

Merry Christmas to you, Anthony and the rest of your family.

Christmas went pretty well, but Anthony started to run a fever of 102.2 so we had to take him to the Hemby children's hospital. We contacted St Judes and they said nothing sounds bad enough to take him back right now. His numbers are staying good. We're hoping it's just a small cold. Merry Christmas, I'll keep updating.

That's how I eat my birthday cake too!

Sorry to hear about the flu. Chemo really weakens the immune system. Looks like he made the best of it though. He's so damn cute!

He is being a pain in the butt, which is a good thing lol. His numbers were a little low when he caught the flu, but he is feeling better, he is being destructive right now, trying to get into everything, his favorite thing is to go up to the cable box or Xbox and turn it off and on as fast as he can, before we get to him. He just laughs and smiles the whole time.

Friday will be his last appointment in Charlotte before we head back to Memphis and we'll be there from the 8th-12 if everything goes good. I'm glad he was able to be home for Christmas and his birthday.

He seems to be in a good mood. He has been eating these things called "little crunchies" kinda like a cheetoh puff. This next round of chemo will be one day, but will drop his numbers a little bit lower, another side effect is hearing loss. Some kids get and end up needing hearing aids. It's got me kind of nervous, but I'm hoping he does well with it like his other rounds.

Him being home has made me appreciate so much more, Christmas didn't go as planned but it was still good. Next year around this time, he should be cancer free. This little guy means everything to me and I am going to do everything I can to be with him every step of the way.

Numbers checked out good on Friday, were heading back to Memphis for round 3. Wednesday he has a eye exam to see if the tumors have shrunk anymore, he might get more laser and cryotherapy. I'll post up some pics tomorrow, he has been in a really good mood this week, being a little terror and eating everything, he also got 3 more teeth in.

I also picked up my pistol, tested the glock 19 out, but was a little too uncomfortable in my hand, I went with a s&w m&p 9.

Awesome news my friend.
As far as the glock goes I might guess you have large hands.
I shot a 19 today and I couldn’t get enough hand on it.
The glock to me off the shelf is too small so you’d have to change the grips. The smith is also a great gun. Whatever works in your hand is best for you.
Now when you have the time practice with it but I know that you are a very busy man.
