1 ring cut off the stock fronts
1/2 front 3/4 rear would not want to go any lower. drags on some drives now and on speed bumps.
all mustangs front springs are the same,
what do you guys use to cut the springs? How much is 1 coil and do you cut from the bottom or top of th e spring? Thanks!
my car sits lower than yours already.. im trying to go lower.. im thinking 1 1/4 up front and 1 in the rear.
im trying to get the tire and the fender to be at like 1" apart
this is how she sits now
where i want her to sit
grinder is what we used...what i was told 1 coil is = to about 1 inch and you cut the bottoms
Keep in mind the weight difference between 99/01 and 03/04 in the front. I don't know how our cars react to to 03/04 springs, but with aftermarket springs the front end doesn't drop as much on our cars. I'd probably start with 1 coil then go from there.
thanks for clearing that up.. i was about to cut one full coil off hahahahahah.
so 1" = 1 coil.
1 coil = 360° of spring
So would this be cutting 1 coil all around? Marked in red.
And do you cut from the bottom or top?
a grinder? that seems like it 'd take way too long
Did anyone else use something else to cut their springs?
