Comp Cams in 03/04 Cobra....

Take it from someone who has stage 3 cams, GET THEM if you want a nice sounding vehicle. My truck will never sound as good as yall cobras but i love the way the cams sound. Shaking at a redlight and turning heads, hell mother effin yeah!

+1 i love mine, Nothing like the shake from a big cam. And No issues with drivabilty at all imo. I dd'd mine until this last yr and love em! :beer:

sometimes big supercharger cams dont do well in turbo applications. doesnt allow it to spool as well.

ooooo, me like! So next question. Why does everyone seem to have comp cams? Is this just the "thing" currently or is there a difference between comp, crane, CMS and more?

Most people that I know use Comp because they are "typically" regarded as the best brand. They are also the largest cam company in the country and second in the world. There is certainly a differance between the differant companys cams. Each company will produce cams with similar specs (duration,lift,LSA) but the lobe design will be different. The actuall design of the lobe can make a big differance in the power gained from the camshaft. This is where you will hear people talk about things like major intensity, area under the curve, ramp rate, etc. etc. Comp and Crower both seem to be the most popular with the mod motor world.
