Does deleting the EGR cause a loss of gas mileage?
Just did this clean up yesterday on a Marauder that I put an 03 Cobra Eaton on. In hooking everything back up, I noticed a small fitting pointing straight down from the EVAP thingy mounted on the firewall next to where the plenum sits for the Eaton. Anyone know what is supposed to hook up to this little port coming from the bottom????
I have 1 line hooked up, and heading back towards the gas tank, and the other larger one hooked to the top vaccuum port on the blower. But what do I hook the little one up to???
Thanks to the OP for the write-up! I'm doing a Whipple install on my Mach and was very confused about the vacuum routing for an EGR delete. You just saved me a headache!!!
EDIT: Wow I forgot that I don't post here often...my old sig cracks me up...time to fix it
No problem. Where in Va. Beach are you? You'll have to bring that Whipple Mach out to Jenro's sometime.
Still on Saturdays weather permitting right?!
Hell I did this and got lost on the vac lines. I have only 2 vac lines. One goes through the fender (charcole) and the other goes though near the heater core hoses, thats it. I'm assuming that is for the AC. I have no clue where the 3 line is for the gauge....wtf?
When you order this from Lethal does it come with instructions and wire or hose diagrams? What to remove and what to keep?
Yeah, it has to come out from the top by pushing and twisting it out from the bottom.Great thread. I did the delete this weekend. The hardest part was getting the EGR tube out in 1 piece, after that, smooth sailing.
