Leave the outside panel of the drivers foot box off. It will make working inside the foot box easier, ie installing sound and heat barrier, carpet, dead pedal, brake and clutch foot pad adjustments, just to name a few.

Exactly. If you look close, the top and and outside panels are still clecoed in. I'll wait until I absolutely have to rivet them in.

One more picture before I'm gone for 3 weeks.
I just set a bunch of the cockpit panels in place for fitment. When I get home, I'll run brake lines and rivet the rest of the panels in. By the time I get home, I should have my engine and transmission.

Looking good man. I may check out those line brackets for my Exocet too.

I really like them. Lines can easily be removed and reinstalled, which I've had to do. The guy I bought them from said they are very popular with off-roaders too, because they can unsnap the lines to get rocks and debris out from behind lines. They make a nice, clean install.

I've got to get better at updating this thread :(. Maybe don't take vacations for awhile.

Anyway, started to install my wiring.

Three holes drilled for the wire harness. One is for starter and alternator. Another for rear lights and gas tank wiring and the third for sensors, such as water and oil temps etc.

Just laid the wiring out here. This part of the harness gets run down the transmission tunnel.

This will end up all behind the dash.

Gauges installed. Just need to add some switches and led lights. Wiring all the gauges will be saved for tomorrow.
Looking great wizbang. This is the tedious part of the build, but it will all come together and be worth it in the end.

Tedious is right. Plus things like that plug on my harness that is messed up, slows things down.
Perseverance and patience will take you a long way, If you need to, walk away. As they say do it right or do it over. Nice catch on the plug pins btw, not everyone would have caught that. Way easier to fix it now than later when you’re to sort out the bugs
