This is all spot on. So glad I'm off of the apps. Met my gf on OkCupid and I got lucky cause she wasn't on there long enough to start checking all those boxes. In the 2 weeks she was on there she was already getting jaded by all of the messages and guys and couples looking for a 3rd person, and she was ready to give up on it, but because I paid for a membership for one week my message got through and she was able to actually read it.
The dating apps are mostly terrible but sometimes they can work.
I met one fiance on OkCupid, one on POF, and one on Tinder
