Nope its ****ing bullshit too. It will have been 3 years of no payments. People got used to using every dime they were paying on student loans and now will cry that their new car is getting repod when they paid 7,500 over msrp on a dam kia.

i've got family that makes 100k/yr and keeps putting their loans off, waiting on that biden bailout.

Could easily pay them off, but nah, let uncle sam pay for it.

Everybody i work with is also excited about it(bunch of therapists, some of their significant others also). But they also leave work when the gas station in town runs a 30 cents/gal sale until they run out and fight the skanks for spot in line.

We are different.

That's just called common sense. Standard financial practice is you want as much cash flow as possible. If the loans are at 0%/Deferred, you're not incurring any debt. Keep the cash flow. Don't pay a dime until payments pick back up and then pay them off.

Separately if someone comes along and is willing to give you 10 grand, whether you support the reason or not, you'd have to be stupid as hell to say no.

Yeah it’s common sense vs integrity / dignity, imo.

@C2tuck understands what I’m saying.

I was in the same position, i paid off my student loans with my money….

Some, probably most, will not get this. Perfect illustration as to why our country is shit. Also why I don’t give two shits about anyone else.

This has been one of the hardest realizations since coming into adulthood, for real. I was raised to treat people with good intentions.

It appears literally no one else was taught these things. So i stay away lolol

Yep. And if I agreed to take a loan, then I will be the one to pay it back.

My local Ford dealership sent this to me today, and yes, I know it is a teaser. Was talking to a sales buddy at the local Chevy dealership and he said management is paying spiffs on overage lot inventory again.

Hello,

Great news!! Ford has select F150's up to $7000 off Msrp with a three year maintenance plan , 3.9 APR for qualified buyers and up to $500 accessories credit!!

Same story, different product.

My mortgage broker texted me asking if I was still looking at a house from 2 months and 2% interest ago.

I said no, I’ll wait for prices to come down.

He says he doesn’t think they will, then rattles off a 2/1 buy down where the seller pays for it.

Told him that new construction is offering 5-7% off, my mortgage broker is texting me funny money loans, and this shit hasn’t even started.

Prices will absolutely come down.

Home sales down THIRTY TWO percent year over year q3 2022 vs q3 2021.

We aren't even getting started yet, and the market is already shitting itself.

Deals to be had very soon, friends. Hold your cash and be ready!

Really? I haven't seen an 800 get turned down, ever. Sounds like the wrong lender for the deal.

As far as finances go, my ML guy recently told me that hardship withdrawals from 401k's are at an all time high, he said it's mostly going to service CC debt- says wait until Summer for a sell off of sorts.

Interesting, the F150 I ordered and canceled at my local Ford dealer in September just arrived on the dealer lot. When I ordered they said 6 months. Ford did delete the heated steering wheel and stop/start. I canceled the order 3 days after I made it, surprised the dealer let it ride.
