Do a test like TFL does. Make a trip unloaded and another with a loaded trailer and see the difference.

When it gets closer I’ll make a thread and have you guys give me some tests you’d like to see or some reviews you want done and we can make a real neck to nuts complete review of this bastard.

Man that sucks. I dont think I could go under 150 miles as our lake house is 125 miles away from the house. Well I guess I could do 100 miles and stop for a charge in the last big town before we get into the back roads.
That's assuming the charger is accessible with a trailer on the back. Most of the ones I've seen aren't in pull through spots. Imagine the rage if you pull in parallel and black all 10 units in a row. LOL

Last time I was headed to Elkins I saw Tesla superchargers outside Weston. Didn't check in Elkins, Petersburg, etc. Of course nothing in Seneca. Didn't see any in Canaan or Thomas/Davis area. Of course I haven't been back since the Plandemic. Been busy getting married, buying a house, changing jobs, having a baby,

I know Stonewall has them, but not sure else. I live near Princeton and none that I am aware of near me.

Lack of DC fast charging infrastructure is a challenge for any EV in WV, and also here in SC.
I think the mountains also are the problem. I hear that Mach Es in the area are limited to around 80 miles due to the terrain. I have no experience here, just what the grapevine says.

Looks like I’m hitting up the Pearl in the next couple days.

I have a list of interstate grades I could test on and a variety of trailers, I just need Ford to loan me a truck for enough time to organize something.

I haven't seen many EV chargers setup to handle anything with a trailer.

I have a hard time believing that figure. I've hot-lapped one on the dragstrip and it was burning just one mile of range per pass.

I think it’s happening at The Pearl, but I’ve seen some new signs that appear to be guiding markers labeled with Ford near me on 46.

It is.

I think it runs thru Saturday and Sunday. Maybe today is restricted to media but the weekend allows the public to register.

Media embargo on driving impressions runs until the 11th. I'm going to try to get a tech deep dive pushed through before then. Ford wants a lot of coverage on this event. I've never seen them pushing this hard for content production on any launch.

Well hell, can I buy you a beer (no homo) while you’re in town Travis @SID297?

There's a possibility, but I'm going to be on an extremely tight schedule. Ford is keeping us very busy the entire time. Door to door I'm only going to be gone for less than 36 hours.

We are talking about coming back to SA for a vacation though. How is New Years there?

Meh, it’s pretty tame. SA is boring for ordinary holidays. But it has its own set of holidays that are fun. IIRC you’re in GA and fireworks are legal, right? Then no different on the 4th and New Years.

Dude, not going to lie…I would run anywhere in town to just say what’s up and buy you a drink. My SVTP age is almost legal to buy beer, I owe you at least that much.

I think that seems excessive. I would not think the mountains in WV would be any worse than towing for reducing distance between charges. Actually I would think the load would be less than towing. Extra load yes, but not more than towing. Atmosphere/altitude would have no effect. Our mountains are steep, but I am sure they test in worse. Actually, WV roads are used by quite a bit of manufacturers for testing vehicles. We see a lot around here. Good winding roads with differing elevations and weather. Great for testing all sorts of things.

We stopped by the Pearl a few weeks ago to check it out. I think I was the only one in boots and jeans. That place is loaded with hipsters.
:ROFLMAO:Yeah man, it is a trendy spot in town. Were you there during the farmers market? Usually there is this food vendor (Ming’s I think) that sells bao buns that are sooooo good.

It was not on a market day. Maybe we will check it out again, when it's raining out. Less chance of hipsters :D

It’s not too bad with the hipsters on market days. All the suburbanites come out.

Told my friend about this yesterday and he sent some photos. Too big to post here however. I’m gonna check it out tomorrow.

Ford has done a lot of testing on Sandstone Mountain near me on 64. Test vehicles are seen there quite often. I cannot remember where I heard the 80 miles from but I think they were quoting a dealer in Summersville.
