It just amazes me how fast these dudes can completely disassemble and reassemble and entire engine between rounds and go so fast.

I guess those dudes are like Athletes playing in the Pro Bowl but building an engine.

I watch it, and I'm amazed. Engine builders do it like it's just a routine job for them. Which it is. Great video. Amazing professionals.

When everything has been sorted out things certainly can get done quickly. Sometimes too quickly. 2000 Audi R8 prototype LeMans car pulled into the garage with a broken transmission. It took the crew 3 minutes 15 seconds to change the gearbox and at 3 minutes 40 seconds the driver was pulling out of pit lane onto the track. Following year that was banned. Audi apparently had their car sorted out a little to well.

Man I wish I had a fraction of the money into my engine that these pro motors do. Only thing billet in mine is the oil pump gears.

Never thought about them resealing the rotors in the blower though. That was neat to see.

Just think, in the near future, we get to watch someone rewinding an electric motor(n)

Followed by six seconds of "bzzzzzzzzzz"

Maybe they can have someone control it with one of these for nostalgia's sake-

It would be even faster if they ditched the “speed handle”. Wonder why they still use that, nostalgia?

Well that video is cool as hell. I think my 4yo has a broom about the size of those head studs lol.

I’ll never forget my first encounter with top fuel dragsters, the sheer forces they put out are just one of the most alpha things on the planet.

thanks for sharing, my pops will enjoy this also.

It's always amazed me that they do all that in 75 minutes, masters of craft.

And good god those blower rotors are ****ing MASSIVE, makes sense considering it takes almost 1k hp just to turn that beast!

I've always enjoyed watching them rebuild between races in the pits at NHRA events. It's simply amazing how quickly they get it done, and how well they work in unison.
