The days of new owners driving around with the 808 PCM without knowing
their cars looking to test their king of the drag strip on the highways are drying out. All those videos you saw on YT where the demon was “raped” from a roll by a Z06, a Tesla, & a ZL1 were the same 2 guys, and one them no longer owns a Demon, he owns a 350R now.

race gas does not void a warranty, nor always require a tune. Throw some MS109 in there, watch it hit peak timing targets and add 30rwhp.

the gt500 will absolutely need a tire to hit low 10's or less.

My biggest grin, is coming from knowing whats going to happen in the real world though. from a roll, where at least 50% races happen now, the "stock" demons are going to get romped from stock 500's.

and then basic bolt ons and its going to get worse. the strip ETs will then be close. pulley, tune, tire, exhaust, E85 500 Vs Demons. But those same basic bolt on 500's are going to be trapping well above demons, and as much if not more than the modded ones, in the mid 140's. and again, from a roll, its going to be a massacre.
If the demons are trapping 140 and the GT500 133 stock, I don’t think that’ll translate to GT500 murders from a roll. I know race fuel doesn’t require tune, but for sure it does if you want to take full advantage. Hence the demon Ecu tuned for race fuel. In that same sense, an 808 demon could throw in some vp109 and not even need the race ecu. If we start added pulleys and tune and such to the GT500, have to assume the demon owner will do the same. I can mod anything and have it outrun a stock demon. Just depends on how far you wanna go.

Yes. And I would think at this point most owners driving around looking to play on the street are not stock. And I don’t mean just a stickier tire. Have to think pulley and tune like everything else on the road. Lol

This is true in fact results on the street seem opposite to those advertised

168mph? Try 203mph...and on 275 Hellcat tires. They tried the Nitto’s but the car was way to unstable at 180 and had to back off.

I lol’d at 168. The car is capable of hitting 140 in a 1/4 mile but tops out at only 28mph higher? Wut?

The nito drag radials are limited to 168. That’s why. But once you put the race pcm in the top speed is 200. But better not be in the drag radials or they will pop

Kaneda is smarter than you guys give him credit as being. He didn’t take the bait. He saw it coming a mile away.

Back to people who did,
Oh? Did you forget that it’s a modification to remove the factory supplied tires which in this case are drag radials or slicks to chase a given performance metric which in this case is higher top speed?

If it’s a modification to put slicks on the gt500, then the top speed of the fabled demon is 168.

See how utterly ****ing ridiculous that argument is? Eat that ****ing shit pile cake. All of you “tires is stock” guys can eat your ****ing humble pie.

Roped you dopes.

Drag radials don't pop at speeds north of 168mph

I’ve gone 180+ on nt05r’s and toyo TQ’s. That said, they can’t sustain that speed for the standardized testing requirement of (iirc) 1hour

Fun fact, no car traveling 168mph or faster can plausible carry enough fuel to travel at that speed for 1 hour. It would require north of 40 gallons of fuel in a vehicle averaging 4mpg at that speed or north of 20 gallons at 8mpg.

Another fun fact, 8/9 people would not be able to quickly figure out how I came up with that fun fact so confidently or easily because they suck at math and calculating things.

Then it’s not stock is it? So what is stock....skinnies and dr’s or 315 all around street tires. You can’t have it both ways.

I’ll say again the demon is a hell of a car. I just would not drive it on the street with the skinnies.
