Why are we talking about dealership experience here? When i drive a car off the dealer lot I expect fully to never bring the car back—unless I’m trading it in 3-5 years later. I’ll handle oil changes myself. Anything short of that is a failure for me. I could care less if a dealership serves cookies or offers free loaners. Even the fancy Audi/Porsche dealerships aren’t giving you a loaner 911turbo/rs7 when you bring that car in for warranty work, so why does it matter?

When you can't afford the car, you justify it because you didn't want to deal with "terrible service".

True but -

I, for one, would not really take warren buffet to be the auto enthusiast that is Jay Leno / Treynor, etc

I bet he doesn’t care what he shows up in.

I believe you're correct that he's not quite the car enthusiast some others are. And, he quite clearly doesn't care what he shows up in lol. I'm just saying, that's not what I would show up in.

Then again, rich people don't get to be rich by spending money on stupid shit like expensive cars. Maybe they're rich in SPITE of buying expensive cars. But, I don't know of any that build their fortune that way.

Depends on personality and if they even care about appearances.

If I was his age and had $87 Billion, I would roll up in an 86 Corolla. Why, because almost no one in the world could out flex me if I felt like trying.

Then again, I'd also have a midget follow me with a tray of cocaine everywhere, and King Budget on a dog leash with a muzzle.
