Uhhh....so why does that screenshot say 328 lb-ft? And if it really is 400, I have to assume the number shown for the 3.5 is wrong as well.

I would guess he is talking crank numbers, the video shows rwhp/rwtq. and 400-18% makes that about right.

No, the 2018 makes 400 ft lbs at the tire per the dyno. The screen shot is from a 2015 2.7. Not the same output by any means which was my whole point. The op was making a point but the reality is the comparison should include the real nunbers from all engines offered today 2018.

Please take a look at each engine from 2018 and then make a choice. The 2018 eb engines are far superior to what they were in 2015. Doesnt seem realistic but it is. I lolike the 5.0 from a simplicity sake compared to the eb, but you just cannot beat the power per ci ratio of these 2018 engines. The 2.7 also uses the same block design technology as a diesel. Stupid strong.

My little 165 cubic inch 2.7 just hit 3500 miles and I swear the program in the computer must have something do with it. Holy crap, does this thing run harder than with 1K on it. This truck will roll the hell out. Transmission is way smoother too.

Yes, ford really has something here. I wish they could bottle this magic up in a larger displacement engine. It would be record breaking. The 10 speed is ridiculous. Mine just hit 10k and the 10 speed just gets better, just wait you'll see.

I’m very impressed so far. 24 MPG in town hand calculated, truck says 24.7. I actually have to use the cruise control in the neighborhood. It really moves that easily.

Yes. I drive 50 miles each day to work. Set cruise to 65, and use premium. It only costs 45 dollars per week and that uncludes the weekend run to hd.

The power bump and 10 speed helps. I wouldnt say far superior.

The 3.5 ecoboost being a 2015, makes full torque at 2500. Their dyno chart show full torque later on.

Cause gen 1 2.7 is rated at 375tq at the motor. The 328tq to wheels would be on par. Since they did not dyno a gen 2 2.7 which is rated at 400tq to the motor

Personally i consider 75 more rwt to be quite superior

Like i said power bump. It comes from slightly better flowing turbos is all.

There are drop in turbo upgrades available for all years.

This test seems a waste if you aren’t comparing across the board same model year trucks. Changes have been made in transmission and engine set ups

Little suckers will put the hurt on a lot of V8s. The one I drove was no joke
