Pretty much, it’s all shitty now.

Old Craftsman has a lifetime warranty though!

True story.Pretty much, it’s all shitty now.
Except all the Sears stores are closing up. I hope Lowes honors the guarantee.
Ace Hardware
Yup, no longer can you go grab one off the shelf. They give you one out of a drawer, the first they gave me had tons of slop in the gear, and had to give another. It's 50/50 if you get a rebuilt US or China one.And when they break they give you garbage new ones...
I like the Ace by us for materials, electrical etc...but not tools, way too much crapsman shit.
Dewalt is a Stanley company now. BlahEverything there is overpriced. It’s just a convenience factor. I was referring to who will sell Craftsman once Sears is gone.
Honestly Milwaukee and Dewalt put everything craftsman to shame.

Stanley definitely takes care of their employees too. I just worried when the take over happened that I would lose local support on my dewalt tools.Been for a while. Still American owned. They are also trying to bring back as much American content as possible. My new brushless set was at least assembled in the US.
Milwaukee is Chinese owned and headquartered. So profits go there and they have no intention of bringing any business back to the US.
I don’t understand the purpose of the premium HF power tool lines. They are only marginally cheaper then DeWalt and Milwaukee but if you watch reviews and disassembly videos; they are significantly inferior.
I know HF keeps comparing their prices to Snap On, but as everyone knows, Snap On is just over priced. Hell, why not go for broke and drag Hilti into it.
The Husky stuff isn't bad honestly.Heard Husky is surprisingly good too, but haven't tried. All my Dewalt stuff has been holding up well.
I got to Ace out of convenience, and the only chain I've found that hires people who have some knowledge on what they sell. Mainly because half are older guys, lol.
Good to know, need to replenish a few things this summer. The Husky stuff isn't bad honestly.
