Whatever shop you go to I’d stop. A pulley, intake, headers and tune and a set tires is 15k? I think you’re the one bad at math.

Lol sure

Full exhaust $4000
Installed $1500
CAI $500
Installed $100
Pulley kit $350
Installed $100
Dyno tune $500
Tires installed $1000

Misc other parts not mentioned like E85 setup
$7000

Sounds about right to me.

Wow. Didnt read the 100+ posts but i did get through about 50. From those 50 I’ve concluded that the DEMON is KING. When the target on your back is this big it can mean nothing else.

It isn’t ****ing rocket science. Both cars put down around 720whp. The lighter of the two cars won. Wtf is so shocking about that?

The most hilarious shit is the whole Demon is a modded hellcat. No. A modded hellcat is a modded hellcat. With no warranty. A demon is a demon. With a warranty. The literal definition of a modded car is a car that is MODIFIED FROM ITS STOCK FORM. Its oxymoron to say a stock car is modified. Lol

So. Whats a modded demon? A “modded modded hellcat”?? I cant make this shit up.

No hellcat owners are modding their cars with basic mods and turning them into demons. Bolt on hellcats still have a smaller blower than a demon. Weaker internals. Weaker driveline parts. They dont have a transbrake. Most importantly they dont have a warranty.

It's a Dodge slightly modified hellcat with a warranty. It's not the king of anything, Dodge made some extreme claims, people are now just commenting on what they are actually doing.

I appears the new ZR1 is also going to beat it pretty soon with tires and a tune. Which is still less modding than the Demon has when it tries to be its fastest self.

Yeah, that parts number is way off IMO.

Full Exhaust - Installed - $2000
CAI - $250-$300
Pulley Kit - <$500
Dyno $ 350-$500 Depending on where you go
Handheld Tuner - $350-$400
Tires - $500 for the rears. Not sure if the ZL1 has skinnies up front and 16" wheels in the back with the DR.

Probably looking at $4,000-$5,000 in parts/labor.

The ZL1, per Chevy's site, starts at $63K. Base model, no options. So, not sure how it is a 60K car out the door with taxes/fees/options, etc.

Either way, the price argument is always dumb. You can compare an LS1 swapped Geo Metro to a new car that is 5-7 times the price that gets spanked by it.

Oh, here's another video of the ZL1 from the OP.

I see a set of bigs and littles here too.

Here's him with his 723RWHP/765RWTQ beating a near 1,000 RWHP C7.

Yeah the whole price argument is kinda dumb...That being said you can find these ZL1s under MSRP around here. The dealers aren't doing crazy discounts yet, like previous 5th gen ZL1/Z28s where discounts were in 15-20K range. I suspect those discounts are coming if sales continue to soften and cars sit on lots.

There is always a faster car.... Really just depends on what gas one is using that night cause today the gas u chose can be the difference of 500 hp.

Lol. No.

Manufacturers don’t modify cars. They, wait for it, manufacture vehicles. No matter how its made its still a bone stock unmodified car from the production line.

I guess a ZR1 is just a modified Z06 and a Z06 is a modified base stingray. Ya know, because they all share the same displacement.

Dodge has never made extreme claims. Only incompetent people would think so. An example of an extreme claim would have been “the demon can click off 9.6’s all day everyday at any track”. But Dodges actual claim isn’t remotely close to that. They claimed it ran a 9.65 and provided actual timeslip with the exact recipe for that claim. Guess what? There hasn’t been a single demon pass yet to even come close to duplicating that recipe. The trolls cant comprehend that though.

Coming from the guy who doesn’t understand how much mods change the personality of a car. lmao

Oh, so now everyone but you is wrong. That explains everything.

Easy, girl. Again, peanut gallery. It’s moot point. You can have more internets than me, but you still can’t comorehend a simple paragraph.

Real life > you

Did you two have a bad break up and needed to have a public blow up here? Wtf has happened here? I thought the thread was silly to start and then you guys bring it to a entirely new, ridiculous level. It amazes me that two strangers can actually let a disagreement get this far. You each have a different opinion on whatever the thread started out as. Leave it go already.....lol

I'll agree with that. If not faster then the ZR1 will be very close to it.

Corvettes (specifically the upper echelon) always end up on another level, relatively easily. That wouldn’t surprise me here neither, especially from a roll.

I'm talking from a dig or a roll.
Depending on where the roll is at, the Demon may have more of an advantage. They seem to have a lot of mid to mid-upper power and start pulling hard.
