Of course I watched the video. Justin is a friend I watch them all.

My point was pointing out your statement though. Dodge literally made this car for the dragstrip. It’s setup to launch for a dig so to say it’s not is insane. Tires aren’t the best but they are good enough to get the job done. Hell I have and my car is a manual.

You said it right there, though. It is setup for the drag strip.

Rule of thumb is, anything can happen on the street. The ZL1 probably has more time on the street with its driver and is ideally setup for it. Especially when you see it launch that HARD on the street, and the Demon spins for days.

this thread isn't about profits, its about units sold. and the ancient Charger/Challenger outsold the camaro handily last quarter. mustang is still sales king(not shocking its the best do it all car).

You seemed to be replying to posts directly above you, talking about profits and bankruptcy. It has certainly changed to profits lol

That ZL1 sure did seem to launch out hard. I would be more interested in the TQ it makes. I had a 700+ Shelby that made 669 TQ. So with proper tires, it would def get going even on the street. From a roll ?? Lol it would just squat and go.

The way the ZL1 took it, I would say it either has more than it claims or it is setup very nice.

To me, the Demon is the top "production HP car" (right now). I think that is why it gets a lot of attention.

On the street, it's different right?

That is a fine running Camaro, I would like to see 1/4 mile times for it.

While I agree with you, I think his point, albeit poorly made, is to compare those cars and see how much of a difference those mods make. The intent seemed to show that those “basic” mods make a pretty large difference.
I agree, but if we're talking about what a Mustang and Camaro has from a race video, we aren't going to start talking about mod for mod on a Prius. Using a different platform to argue the case for another is just not a good method is all.

The youtube comments are pretty good.

The ZL1 is apparently runningg mid 6's in the 1/8th mile and high 9's in the 1/4 mile. A demon would need perfect conditions, air, DA and traction to come close in stock form.

I agree, there is a lot of hype behind the demons. Although, I am 99% sure stock for stock, the demon will make a ZL1 it's bitch over and over again.

These cars make roughly the same power and there is a several hundred pound weight difference. Plus, the ZL1 is dialed in and setup for launching like a bat out of hell, the Demon is not.

To me, the point to prove the Demon is slow is moot at best.
Tune and CAI ZL1 made a Demon it's bitch and was around 600rwhp.

Doesn't the Demon came from the factory with DR's made for them? It's not rolling around on a cheap all season, lol.

So you guys are saying it should hook on the street no problem, right? Why is it spinning like here’s no tomorrow?

Seems like it works to me....and the Camaro has a “lesser” version... so now what?

So, now you’re posting pictures of a demon at a track which is much stickier than the street? God you guys are not realistic at all.

Huge difference and the argument isn’t valid. Not comparing apples to apples and are grasping at straws

FWIW my 460 RWHP/486 RWTQ cobra spin Nitto extremes on the street and almost dead hooked at the track with minimal warm up.

Must be a coincidence though.

Both were on drag radials on the street, and the Demon has special/better ones than the Camaro. What are we not understanding? You saying the Camaro has magic tires for the street and the Demon only works on the track? It was a dig, which gives the factory drag car the advantage over the sports car with road racing suspension. So what just are we grasping at?

Not a fair race, that Escalade is at least 500lbs lighter than a Challenger...lol.

Sarcasm...

You're using tires as an excuse. The Demon is on a DR made specifically for it, yet apparently the Camaro is on a lesser tire, but was rubbed with unicorn jizz giving it magical grip.

Pretty easy here....the ZL1 CW is 3,883 and the Demon shows up at 4,280. With the mods on the Z their power is pretty damn close. Obvious win is obvious. They are both retartedly fast cars but the ZL1 is modded; I'll say it again.....mod the demon in the same manner and run them again. It's not ****ing rocket science.
