I was just wondering if you guys are seeing a lot of price stratification based on color? It seems that Competition Orange tends to bring the most money, and Mineral Grey the least. Have you noticed any other trends?
Watch your mouth about mineral grey... lol! In all seriousness though when I bought my car the c.o. market hadn't really gone stupid yet. It was between c.o., m.g., and s.b. It came down to at the end three cars, mileage condition and mods determined which to buy. At the time I was willing to spend 25000 for a nice one that I wouldn't be afraid to drive because of low miles.
I ended up finding my car 4.5 hours away in w.v. and couldn't be happier, well except resale now with what the comp. o's have done. I just gave up on the orange because I didn't want another flashy color car after selling my yellow 280z a while back. It's a shame really, because mineral grey gets no love and it really is a nice color on this body style.
Maybe I should have said Zinc Yellow?
Usually lower the production number color the more popular but in reality they do that because most people don't want those colors. They normally want black, red, or white which is why they make more of them. Nothing like a clean black car.
so trueUntil 7.3 seconds later...
I love that color. I've never seen one in person, but I saw a C7 'vette in a similar color and thought it looked great, too. I like the understated, classy look of it. I bought a new Cadillac DTS in a similar color 10 years ago (and sold it).
Coming from another lowly MG owner, yes. Lol
A certified old fart. Which is why I have a silver one.
You are Glenn. Me well, just a...Guess I am too. x2 LOL.........
