I will admit it; I have an addiction to watching most of the Street Outlaws episodes. I know that many condemn the show due to the street racing, but that is not my concern at the moment. The entertainment factor is the concern being addressed at the moment.

...and what is more entertaining than Farmtruck and AZN? How are those two still alive? The stunts they pull are insane, but I love it.

Chief and the OKC crew have done a great job with Street Outlaws. They have generated a new interest in racing and performance mods. For that I applaud them.

Off and on New Orleans has tried their hand at moderating the show. Without any disrespect to Kye Kelly, the show lacks on a lot of levels. Kye and his crew are great racers and have fast cars. Kye has been to Carolina Dragway for a few grudge matches. He is a good guy, but I couldn't get into the show.

Now we have JJ and Memphis. After watching the same thing over and over again in OKC, Memphis is breathing new life into the show. The downside is that the original OKC crew is turning into a reality show, drama filled nightmare. I want to see cars race, and watch people have a good time.

JJ has been portrayed in the biggest negative light possible. He has been called a hustler, a cheater, and many other things. In reality, JJ is a grudge racer. He is trying to hustle you, but he isn't trying to cheat anyone.

Now that Memphis has its own show, JJ and his crew / family are seen as the legitimate people they really are. There's no cut throat infighting. There is no stupid list (I thought rankings were for sanctioned racing). JJ does have a big mouth, but he has a heart that shows through his tough guy act. JJ (Jonathan Day) is a simple guy out to have a good time.

Memphis Street Outlaws can keep moving forward as far as I am concerned. I like the layout and the real street racing platform (yes, safety crews are on sight, and the public is kept safe).

I wouldn't mind spending a few minutes with ol JJ. I have a feeling he is just a fun loving country boy living life and having a good time.

The original Street Outlaws is ok.

Memphis will be worse than N.O. if that's even possible.
I honestly don't think anyone can do as bad as NOLA.

JJ is rather entertaining and amusing.

I do have to admit that I find myself wondering about the relationship that ties JJ with Precious. She is around him more than his wife is. I'm not implying anything, but I'm sure others will.

We will see. I’m starting to get burnt out on OKC watched it since the beginning.

I think NOLA is stupid while I like and respect the cars just can’t get into it.

We will see how the Memphis show plays out.

I street raced a lot back in the 70's when the "really fast" cars had 500 or 600 HP, LOL. The cops finally started cracking down in the 80's, so that kinda did it for me. I've always had muscle cars though, even today.

I've been enjoying Street Outlaws immensely from the very first show. Yeah, you can nitpick about this or that, but overall, it's a great show for most gearheads. NOLA was not so great IMHO. But JJ is a breath of fresh air, so kudos to him and good luck with his version of the show.

Years ago when I stomped around Philly on Sunday nights, there was a JJ Da Boss at every location. It was all about the hustle and making $ off someone who wasn’t as street savvy.

I watch it and really enjoy it for what it is. I find it laughable that people bitch about this or that. To much drama and blah blah blah. Its a ****ing tv show folks. On a national tv network, thats showing to the masses. Its not just for car guys. The show needs to be entertaining beyond that to do well in ratings. I know quite a few people who aren’t car people that like it. ****, my girl likes it and she’s not a car girl at all.

A lot of in between is “for tv”, the race night spots are closed off for the show. The racing is real. Money is real. Been confirmed by many. I know someone personally from Detroit that was at the okc vs det. This is how it goes down. They made changes after the nhra cried.

The racing results are real. However, on the show they've always raced on a closed road with medical staff on hand. The "Oh no it's the cops!" bit was staged and stupid. They stopped with all that nonsense and that made it better. I like the show and agree with everyone else on the NOLA show. I liked the cars but the show itself wasn't that good.
