I'm looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the new Expedition. I had a 2016 model for a few days last year, and while it felt dated it was also comfortably familiar. The new 2018 is definitely far more modern than the previous generation, and should be perfect for those who have lots of people and stuff to move around. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and I'm going to bet it feels more confident towing than the F-150. Time will tell I suppose. Now for the pics:

Early reports are very good. I'm in for a new DD black Platinum in the next ~ month. 400hp/480tq., big towing capacity, E-locker, leather dash and doors, etc. It will be my 5th Expedition. The heated/cooled massage seats are incredible. :^). Price went up ~$10k for the Platinum but still a but a good buy compared to the competition.

It shouldn't take me long to get a Limited in from Enterprise as I get Expeditions pretty often from them. I love the Expedition as it is so I can't wait to see these new ones with such vast changes.

I thought the new Expy's were only getting the Ecoboost?

Our 09 has been a good truck, but it's definitely feeling long in the tooth

Unfortunately the new body turned us off and just purchased a 17' Limited since the dealer and Ford decided to knock a ton off the MSRP. This is our 4th since 2005 and the wifey is very happy it.....except that it isn't black.

I wonder if these will hold their value any better than the previous models.

I personally like it, as stated, it looks like an oversized Explorer.

I think that you meant value, correct? They are definitely not the vehicle to jump in and out of every couple of years depending on your deal.

I traded my 06' a back in 2014 back that was still worth 13k with 130k miles on it after paying 28k in 2007. Roughly 55% in depreciation over an 8yr span putting 100k+ miles on it.

I paid 40k for my 14' limited 3 years ago and just got $30k+/- on trade, so it lost 25% over 3yrs which is also reasonable to me.
