Found this in my FB feed today. Man, how I wish they'd go back to V-10s.

I'm loving the pressure Bottas is putting on Hamilton. I think he's only like 15 points behind in the standings. Hamilton acts all friendly with him, now, but I can't wait to see what happens if the gap keeps closing.

Anyone else notice that Hamilton has had a problem with basically every teammate he's ever had?

Ricciardo is sneaking up on everyone, one podium at a time.

I have a theory about why Hamilton has problems with all of his team mates.

It's because he is an asshat.

I liked Lewis when he first came into F1, and even up until about three years ago. But he is quickly becoming a dick. I do like Max Verstappen though. I think he has that similar chip on his shoulder, but can still be personable and get along with most everyone. Lance Stroll is a breath of fresh air as well.

Ricciardo is hiding in plain sight. Not sure if he's going to make it up to threaten the top 3. But he's definitely going to play spoiler every chance he gets.

Happy for Bottas. Outstanding race from flag green to checker.

Glad to see Grosjean/Haas put together a good race. 6th is about as good as you can expect from a mid pack team. Haas is doing extremely well for being such a young team. Is there even a small chance of it eventually seeing a Ford/Cosworth powerplant?

It's time for Kvyat to hang it up. I cannot stand him. I can't help but think that there's some Russian backer that has slipped a large amount of money into someone's pocket. He's the new Crashtor Maldonado.

I'd take Kvyat over Verstappen at this very moment Verstappen can't get past the first corner without running into someone.

Having said that, they both suck pretty horribly right now.

Surely you jest. On bad days, sure, they'd both crash out making stupid moves that a seasoned veteran would know better than to even try. But on their BEST days, Kvyat would finish an uninspired 3rd-5th where as Verstappen would finish 1st and make everyone else look silly doing it (passing on the outside in the rain, outbraking someone into a corner using the dirty line in the marbles, etc). Max is a rare talent that is going to develop into a multiple time world champion. Kvyat's backer is going to eventually lose interest and when the money runs out, he's going to fade into oblivion and become nothing but a footnote in the F1 archives.

Well yeah, on their best days, there's no contest. Verstappen would win for sure. But he's a mental midget, and I don't forsee him winning a single title, much less multiple. How many times does he have to wreck in turn 1 before he figures out he can't win the race in the first corner?

not at my post...
He's very young, aggressive and arrogant. If Verstappen can calm down a bit and mature some, then he will be a force to be reckoned with. The kid can drive like hell in the rain, that to me is a very good indicator of his skill.

Verstappen actually looked to be a victim this past race. It was Kvyat that caused the whole thing. IMO Kvyat should be made to sit out the next race.

I wish the KERS system operated more like a push to pass that refilled gradually over many laps. I HATE when a driver catches the car ahead only to be unable to make the pass once they are in dirty air and eventually have to back off to stop killing their front tires. Hell, if it were up to me, if the position behind you is able to open DRS on you in every zone for three consecutive laps you would get a blue flag.

Isn't the summer break usually after the British GP? I just realized it's after Hungary this season. Did this change just recently? What gives?

After the British Gp is the summer break. Lewis really needs to do something along with Kimi. I feel like Kimi is just pondering at a certain pace after he pits and really doesn't have the motivation to perform. I get he has more mechanical gremlins during the race vs Vettel, but something doesn't seem right with his overall performance. #keepfightingmichael

That's what I thought too until I looked at the calendar again. Silverstone is this weekend, Hungary is 2 weeks later, then there's a 4 week break until Spa. The summer break is after Hungary this season.

I think this will be Kimi's last season in F1. Then again, I've said that the last 3 seasons.

Most of the off season activity is teetering on him in my opinion. If he stays, very little will happen with other drivers. But if he retires, it's going to be a whirlwind of activity.

I her the feeling Kimi is sick of F1's bullshit and is sandbagging. As a long time fan of his I'd like to see him make the move to another series.

I'm sure he's sick of it, but I doubt he's sandbagging. What would that get him? He's still a racer. And he's there to win. But I do think it's time for him to move on. I do t really see him in WEC. But DTM? World Rally Cross?
