Well, Paypal refunded me the $285 the other day. As expected, there was absolutely no reponse from Brian on the claim. As for recovering my calipers I actually called the Fortuna PD last week. The officer I talked to on the phone was pretty helpful. He told me I needed to file a report locally and my local PD would then get back in contact with them to resolve the complaint. He also told me to see it through since I definitely had a legitimate issue.

Filed the local report this morning so we'll see what, if anything, they can do about it.

I wonder how much actual inventory they have 'waiting to be powdercoated' from unfinished/not delivered jobs sitting at their facility....

I was wondering the same thing. I bet those two idiots have stolen quite a few parts over the years.

Probably none. Considering some of the stuff that has been posted here, the other thread etc. I would bet money it's being pawned off or sold locally.

Man good thing I denied sending my (poor powdercoated quality) valve covers back to them for the third time. I'd probably still be sitting here with a disassembled car wondering when they're going to show up and being nice to her because "she's a new mother" blah blah blah. Sorry you're having to deal with this and hope the PD can create some sort of resolution.

Yeah, she played the Mom card with me numerous times. You can always count on two things with Sara....she will lie to you, and that lie will be preceeded or followed by her playing the mom card. As if that could possibly keep someone from simply answering an email. She must have the most high maintenance kids on the planet since they apparently require 24/7 strict supervision.

I think we can clearly state it wasn't bad business practices, but clearly theft at the end. Asked someone to pay for parts they not only have kept but had not intentions of shipping. The thead title clearly needs to be changed so when someone goggles these people it shows the scum they are. They're no different than any other scammer on this board. Their names should be included in the thread title. Just my 2 cents.

damn, and just a year ago everyone called me and matt crazy for putting them on blast. hahaha

Some called me even worse if I recall correctly. He was offering me 50% off to "whore out Powderhouse" and after 3 months of helping promote his business, I still had no product in my own car. He then recanted his agreement and tried to tell svtp I was asking for "everything free", which was not the case. After I told him to shove it, he materialized three months later (texted me directly) apologizing and offering me more discounts and I called him out publicly. Again he tried to cover his tracks and make me look like the bad guy and his nutswingers took the bait, hook, line and sinker. At that point I was told to let it go by the powers that be, so I honored their requests and let it drop.

Sucks to see how others got scammed in the end when it all could have been avoided almost two years ago. I found another company with a week's turn around time and excellent customer service but was given a warning not to mention their name or location since he was a paying site vendor.

Good for you bro!

I hope others who have been screwed on this site or elsewhere see this thread and take similar action. These people are disgusting human beings. That Sara broad especially, both on the inside and outside, after seeing her facebook information. I HATE scumbag liars and thieves.

This.

I vote to have their full names added to the thread title.

You guys should just use locals. Powdercoating is powdercoating.

This

Or even do it yourself. It's 99% prep. I did almost every piece I could in my engine bay for less than $11. Got an old commercial bread warmer for free (5' x 4' x 3'), added two elements from ebay and wired it up along with a used gun. Once you do it a few times you'll find a prep process that works great and you're set.

While I'll agree it's not rocket science but there is a big difference between a good powdercoater and a hobbiest/amateur powdercoater.

Just glad I didn't go through with sending them all the parts I had planned to. Was going to have the interior of my cobra done as well as my wifes truck.

You guys will not believe what showed up today. I almost feel bad about trashing the guy. I guess the only thing I can say is he's not a crook, just a liar with the worst business practices I've ever seen.

Funny thing is PayPal already refunded me since they didn't even bother to respond to the claim. I can't fathom not taking the time to do that as a business.....its crazy. As much as I'd like to keep the cash at this point, I'm going to do the right thing and send it back to him.

I guess there's hope for you guys who still haven't received product.

How do you know PayPal actually held money from him. The honest thing to do is contact PayPal and give THEM the money back.

this. they just put his account into a negative standing, and unless he had money in the account (which I doubt) Paypal is out.

yeah until it starts chipping or other issues then you will wish you didn't send the money to a business that doesn't exist to fix the issue
