I am not going to lie, I'm sure this has been covered multiple times but I want to make sure I have it right. I am going to be purchasing some lowering springs from you guys and also a panhard bar. What else would you recommend for my suspension that would help out? Should I be worried about ruining my struts if I keep the stock ones on? I will also be purchasing some LCA's to stop that horrible wheel hop. Thank you for your help!

Would i be able to rune the strange shocks instead of the Vikings to save a little coin or are the vikings really that much better?

Sure, you can use them. If it is an auto, you may not notice much of a difference to be 100% honest. If you have a manual trans, don't even debate it - go Viking.

What advantage does the SP009 provide over a stock spring when it comes to straight line performance? the spring rates for stock springs are lower and the spring itself is taller, it would seem at quick glance that these are better for weight transfer.

The advantages are; more stable launch, better geometry, and less need for a "better" damper.

"Weight Transfer" is a function of many things, and it is not to be confused with wasted energy. I rather control weight transfer with IC settings, and dampers...than using a "sloppy" spring. FRPP Cobra Jets Tried that V6 Sloppy Spring theory from the 80's, early on...and look where it landed them. (2008 to 2014) Landed them about 2" down, I'd say. :dancenana:

Now, I do like some stored energy, but not "too" much. OEM springs at 123-130lb/in....that is too much.

Controlling a fast car, with a tall sloppy spring, that is not really the way I like to set my customers up. I'll take a lowered car all day, everyday.

None for performance... Maybe looks. Stockers work great at the drag strip

Stockers can, and do work great for some. For others, not so much. See above post.

Very broad, yet general question. As you can imagine, I recommend it all.

Let me know more precisely what you are looking for from the car.

For those reading, here is a quick suspension recipe for 8's.

Congrats to Mrs. Starkey (VMP)

She went a blistering 1.28 sixty foot today.

Some BMR love, and some Viking Crusader rear shocks.

That was on the new BMR drag springs. They just put them on in a last effort to get the car into the 1.2X sixty realm. Worked!

I have been begging them to ditch those stock springs for quite some time now.

That's awesome! Did she break into the 8's? Got any links from her outing?

What spring was Rebbecca running? SP068? What springs are on the Straight Performance Racing white car?

Also, what's your average high 9sec TVS Coyote customers getting for 60' times? Are they using SP009 or SP068 springs.

Any updates on your new ride??

Nope. She let out. She was getting her license. I think she posted a video on her FB page.

Yes, SP068 Springs on her car. The SPR car is running FRPP Springs, IIRC. That car is a BIG Centri car making 4 Digit power.

I would say 1.36 - 1.42 is the average, once we work on the suspension tuning. The average that calls me looking for advice, parts, etc...usually 1.47-1.51 range I'd say. As you know, there is more to it than just making the tires "hook".

Any updates on your new ride??

Just modding it until the tuning is figured out. I have some of the best guys working on it. ;)

There ya go.

Thanks Kelly!

I may run SST & True Street at the last few NMRA events, maybe I'll see you at one.

Some valuable information on here.

I probably should listen as I will be testing my BUDGET suspension setup this Friday

So on my twin turbo 14 I have a set of the Ford Racing P springs and koni yellows on. Logic says a set of drag springs would help. I wish there was more data on this. I hate rebuying parts.

I might do some testing with my current setup, then switch to this drag setup if needed.

What are the adverse effects, if any, by going with the 068 coil over the 009 coil on a daily driven vehicle?

I don't think the P Springs are going to hurt you "that" much....but Koni's are horrible for drag racing performance. Like, one of the worst dampers for that purpose.

The softest setting on a Koni, is still valved much more aggressively than even a base GT OEM Strut.

BMR Tech-

My car is lowered on Steeda Sports. Suspension is otherwise 100% stock. Car seems to hook fine (305 NT05Rs) but ill be at the drag strip in 2 weeks on the 15th and worried with 600 HP the LCAs at the very least are deflecting badly under hard acceleration and id rather not have my drivers side tire and wheel end up just behind the drivers seat. :)

Before I hit the track I will weld my axle tubes. I'd also like to buy some relo brackets, some LCAs and an adjustable PH bar. Does BMR offer a forum discount of some sort?

thanks!

Kelly, was looking on your site reading up on the relo swaybar bracket kit for the 11-14 GT's. Just ordered a set of 15x10 rear drag wheels and was gonna order this kit but see it has some notes about fitment with the rear control arm relocation brackets which I'm running since I'm lowered, are there other modifications required to run the swaybar relo and lca relo brackets together? Thanks

Timeline for BMR wattslink?

Or can you recommend a watts-link with BMR support mods for a 410-420rwhp '11 GT manual for road course use (Button Willow, Chuckwalla, Mazda Laguna).

Are the spherical ends on a Watts as uncomfortable and clunky as it sounds?

Thanks

LCA and LCA Brackets should make a huge difference. We had amazing results when we tested our car on 150 shot, stock LCA position VS BMR Relocation Positions. It was drastic.

As for a code, we do have a code for our site which is KA7...or you can also check out our eBay store:

http://stores.ebay.com/BMR-Suspensi...14694018&_sid=810196228&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Good luck and Happy Modding!

We designed, the LCA Brackets and the Sway Bar Relocation brackets to work together, with OEM Rear Sway Bars.

The clearance is very tight sometimes, and I cannot promise it will work. Thousands have done it, though.

If you do have clearance issues, there are ways to solve it - it just takes a phone call to me.

Good luck!

About 1.5 months.

The spherical bearings can be loud and clunky. There are ways around that though, like the Seals It rod-end boots and an O-Ring on the Inner Pivot Mount bearing sides.

Thanks Kelly. You should consider selling the kit with the O-Ring and boots as an optional kit with a different price so your design is seen as the quiet option in the market (sorry, I'm a Product Manager in the automtoive sector as well).

Based on your price and timeline, I'm sold. Let me know if you want to pre-sell one.
