Bit of an update, haven't drove the car in a few weeks. So far I've gathered up a T-56 Bellhousing, crossmember and the needed wiring pigtails. The plan is to put a T-56 Magnum in it! Will most likely go with a Promotion clutch, aluminum flywheel, and grab an aluminum 03/04 driveshaft as well. Figured I might as well just do it big the first time this way it will handle absolutely anything I ever decide to throw at it. Should hopefully have it back on the road in September.. Sucks this happened but we all know when we put blowers on our 2v's were pushing our luck!

And I definitely appreciate the kind words from everyone!

Sick build bro. Car looks great and clean. I definitely wanna know how the stuff from Lowes worked out cause I wanna eliminate the vibrations and all that fun stuff out. Keep up the good work bro.

Sadly I haven't got much seat time in it yet this year, but from the little I drove it I do believe it made some difference in sound noise inside the car. Honestly I probably only drove the car 7-8 times this year before I had trans issues and the last time I had driven it was last October so it's tough to even remember what it sounded like inside the car prior to having it in there. If you've got some spare time and about 50 extra bucks to buy a few rolls of it it's one of those things that could never hurt to do!

That is an awesome looking car man! I plan on doing something similar. I want to do the tork tech on mine but I'm a little iffy with the car having 92k on it. I'm really torn between doing this or trading for a local '08 gt500. Did you feel like the tork tech was a good investment?

My car currently has 90,600 miles on it. Blower went on at mid 80's I forget right now. I love the car, and I think it was a good investment. Really putting a blower on a 2v is the only worthwhile mod. Then build around it. Lately with mine being broken I've been torn about what to do as well because for a while I was considering maybe trading it on an 07 gt500 but I've decided to just continue with what I've already started on this car. If it were me personally and my car was stock I wouldn't hesitate to trade it in on a gt500.

agree that supercharger is the only way to really wake these cars up. guess my thing is is that i've had this car forever and have become attached to it. I've looked into doing paint, tranny, engine and supercharger for awhile but it seems that after all is said and done I should trade it off for something already built to handle the boost like the 500. What made you chose the tork tech over something like the kenne bell? I've been looking at tork tech's tuner kit for the TVS 1900 but i'm not sure how it rates to the 2.1 kenne bell. I hope your able to get yours up and going again.

I'm the same way with mine, I become sentimentally attached to my vehicles. I've made the mistake of selling one mustang that's how I ended up in this one was because I missed the first. I chose the Tork tech kit for two reasons. One was that I could spend a little here and there collecting parts instead of one lump sum for a kenne bell kit. And two I like to change things and modify how everything looks anyways and what better kit to do that with than with something you have to supply every piece to. Sure you can change things in a kenne bell setup but they sell their kits complete so that's why I opted for Tork tech. I've heard good things about the TVS 1900, I'm not sure how it compares to a 2.1 but I'm sure they are relatively close in performance.

So it's been a while since I've updated this. The car ended up being down all year, I debated about what I wanted to do with the car. For a while I was thinking about parting it out and selling it to buy something else but in the end it's just frustration of not being able to drive it talking there. So here we are with winter fast approaching us again but I've got some plans for it this winter and hopefully it should be back on the road next spring!

A few weeks ago I worked out a deal with a member on here for a fully built the T45 Source trans. The trans has all the goodies 26 spline input shaft, billet forks and plates, carbon syncros, new bearings, new seals etc etc. I'm glad that I ended up staying with a t-45 because I really like the way they shift and I've heard nothing but truly great stories about the t-45 source. The trans will be going in this winter along with a few other odds and ends. So within the next few months I'll have some more pictures and updates of more work done to the car!

Wasn't sure about the color at first being so bright but love it now. After looking at your car last night on here it pushed me to go ahead and order a 03 cobra front bumper from AM today lol..

Ahh comp orange, it was hard to tell looking at the picture. Always loved that color. Honestly I love every color but black, I just hate trying to keep it clean lol

And the 03 front end is definitely the way to go. It's the best looking bumper for the 99-04's in my book.
