You do realize her game is the mile, not the 1/4 mile right? The reason for the 2.73 gears in her car, which you understand hinder not help 60' times? Her car just happens to run faster than most in the 1/4 too even pulling against those gears.

I completely understand her car is a mile car. But for her to come in here and post what she did had nothing to do with the convo.

It doesn't change anything for me. I couldn't be more content. My setup has exceeded my goals. I am very excited for Jpc and the 5.0 as a whole though.

I've always been a sucker for a good glass of whine. PD blowers have just always appealed to me, and I like the thought of neck snapping TQ in a good reliable, mild street car than can still hold it's own on the highway when I need/want it to.

If I want something with a hair dryer than gets up and moves faster, I'll go buy a 7.3L Powerstroke and build it to hell, the rape some cars that never saw it coming. :D Haha

I really like the Paxton superchargers wth the wastegate, but when you add the costs of the wastegate and 8 rib conversion, it starts to get close to the price of the JPC turbo kit. I also like the JPC turbo kit. However, I feel the JPC turbo kit is incomplete with the wastegates not being routed back in the exhaust. Not too much to ask for $6800? And having to remove the front sway bar doesn't help either.

The hellion is nice, but the install looks time consumming with having to reroute all the stuff where the left turbo goes, and the idle prioblems I'm hearing about worry me a little. Not to mention $7500 isn't cheap.

Dont rule out CPR's single kit for turbos either. You can use the sway bar and the WG is routed back into the exhaust....although its 7200 you get a lot stuff with it that you will or may end up buying down the road.

Poor I agree with all you said exept that a centri blower with a wastegate won't generate any extra heat that it would at that same boost level. Belt slip might be an issue but iat will be fine. Air heats up when compressed. If you are venting with a wastegate the air that is vented is not compressed.

Yes and no.

With the torque booster mod it's venting boost post intercooler

So now the blower is spinning harder making more heat
Your also compressing more air in the intercooler so it's getting hotter than normal.

Now you are letting out air so I don't know how that helps IAT situation.

Some one would have to install an IAT sensor right at the throttle body to know for sure.

If you were to put the waste gate before intercooler that would be optimum but you would never beable to calculate the rather large boost drop across the core

We chose to not route the wastegates back into the exhaust for performance reasons.

Being one of the few people that have driven each of these cars I really find this whole argument kind of useless. Each kit has its ups and downs.

I can't say I've driven a any of these setups and not had fun.

Proof100's car has got to be one of the funnest boss's on the planet. Seeing first had how it performs and drives on the street it's an amazing car for sure. (JPC Turbo Boss)

Jymboslice's car is pretty legit too. It makes great power, tons of noise and drives great. (Centri 2011).

We've got a customer car here currently with a Roush TVS, makes like 600rwhp and drives great. Makes tons of power and plenty of low end torque.

We've did a Whipple 2011 here this past summer and it made stupid power.

There are street cars and there are "street" cars. I got a guy in FL with one of the fastest all steel 57 Chevys. Jungle gym inside. Shoots, horn. Speedo'd lenco (sp) it's tagged and insured

Jpc has radio, single turbo, 7sec slip, tag and insured

Guys around here have 5sec 1/8 mile LS swapped foxes. Tag and insured

Know 202mph half mile cars tag and insured.

Regulardless. They are all "street" cars. Do u want to drive them on the street to drop your kid off at day care. Most likely not. That's said

Most of them are turbo'd. Almost all of them I don't want to drive 7hrs at a time on trips.

All said and done. They are having fun, who cares

I have both a TVS and twin turbo vehicles..... So my vote is moot

It would appear that if you want to go fast without having to throw nitrous on top of the combo, turbo is the way to go

/pot stirring

Now that you admitted stirring the pot directed at Beefcake, how do you continually beat on a guy that has been in the 8's for awhile and is running 15 mph faster than you? Do you not think that his combo will be in the very low 8's or high 7's after the tranny replacement and seat time? If you don't think so then you're smoking something.

I knew it wouldn't be long before a thread like this was started. I have seen it all before. Back in the day, when it was not "as easy" to go fast in a mod motored car, when the mod motored cars were the dregs of the earth, there was a kid by the name of Tim Palmer from Texas. At one of the modular shootouts, (anyone remember Dave King?) Tim went 8.38@160 with a stock block 98 cobra, and a one-off intake, and a 91mm turbo.

My point being, no one ran over to their cars and threw their superchargers into the river to get a big turbo.

It is not going to happen in this day and age either.

On another note: on a roll now,lol....Most of you won't remember Randy Haywood who was running, i believe, super street outlaw with a 5.4 mod motor. He was beaten on pretty good by the nmra officials and the push rod crowd. Don't remember the numbers, but was fast.

A great posts by the JPC team in this thread for putting out their sale of other systems and their desire to make their customers happy. And congrats on some great passes.

As far as what an "off the shelf" turbo kit from JPC will do, there was one in Bowling Green. I think that may be more typical of what this kit will do, which is awesome btw.

And for the other guy who is constantly beating on beefcake, just looked at another thread where he hasn't even been to the track yet. Run some kinda number then talk shit.

and lastly....buying a kit from the Beef!

That was lightened up....man. Some of you guys were getting down right viscous in a few of these threads, I know it, and you know it. I was gone from some of these forums for a few years and not a GD thing has changed.

Some people do follow him around the forums and put him on blast for some unknown reason (blazer707), but I'm just having fun man. We went out to BG and got to chat face to face and do some racing. Any fun posts here are just that.

And to get back on topic...turbos ttf

I don't follow terry around on the forums, I just think he's a parts pusher, nothing more and nothing less.

Also don't think terry was mentioned really in this thread until both of you...

I never mentioned you by name, if you read your own quote, but now that you mention it.......................:burn:

Just for the record, anyone who considers a guy in the 8 second zone nothing more than a parts pusher, well...........never mind .........:??:

And...looks like you're going to a test-n-tune session on the 26th, maybe you will show us how it's done.

Whoa. Just realized, blast from the past. I still remember your old Cobra. That thing hauled ass back in the early 2000's. I remember watching it #1 Qualify at BG, in the 9.7's.

Ah yes, the good ole days. We had some good times back then and spent tons of money to run 9's on a mod motor. So much easier now to slap on one, two, three,or four power adders :rolleyes:and go fast. What a great platform the coyote is.
