Yeah, when I spot another guy in Cobra I'll give him the wave or thumbs up and hardly ever get anything back. But who cares, they're the ones with the attitude problem.

And I love the guys who come up to me and say "That's a fake". Most people on the road don't know jack, and the ones who attend cruise-ins and car shows know less than that.

Kids have no respect these days.....
I disagree..... I have an 03' Cobra and I'm 18 and I love nothing more than pulling along side another mustang owner and giving the thumbs up or running our cars a little bit. That also goes for my friends who drive Stangs as well. The kids that have no respect these days are usually the ones who drive cars with an H or A on thier car.

It was just a phrase I was using. There are a lot of people at the car shows I enter into that have cobras that are just as rude, and into their 40's. I think it has to do with enthusiasm and passion. If you just own the car because it is fast then you are probably missing comradory that comes with talking to people that have the same or similar car, or just a car in general. I love my car. I don't ever see myself getting rid of it. And it is payed off. This is the first car that I have ever owned that fits me like a glove.

I agree 100%...... (which is strange because politicaly we are at opposite ends of the universe...lol)

When driving...(in fact most of the time)... I'm a non-verbal kinda guy....
But I love Hot-Rods, and hot cars...
I do give thumbs up and nod of approval, If I like the car..
No return response required....
Cool responce back??....... Great!
No response????...... could be a lot of reasons...
Jimmy:thumbsup:

Some people buy the Cobra for their own personal pleasure which does not have to include prancing it around for everyone to see and get their ego boosted by your comments.

Personally I like getting the compliments but I sure as hell am not going to say anything about those people who don't wish to respond if I compliment them.

I think people that have the expectation that the person MUST provide a reply have a bigger social problem than someone who wishes to maintain their private moments.

Man get over it already...

I wasn't expecting him to worship my cobra. Hell a damn nod of the head would have been cool. But to make eye contact and then just turn your head like I said nothing. I am sorry, and call me insecure, but if I am in the right mood that attitude might get you a little bit of a bloody nose. I don't care if you are in a damn Enzo. You are no better than me, and I will prove it when you are kneeling down at my feet in pain. Assholes who think they are God's gift to the world are the guys who need to be brought down a level. Your car may be faster, and more expensive, but unless your name is Jesus Christ don't be a dick when someone says Hi. That is my opinion, and I am sure you all have your own as well.

Was it a Cobra or an orange Mustang GT (about '96 vintage)? The reason I ask is...I see an orange GT downtown about every day.

The guy thinks he's Ricky Racer.

It was a Cobra.. well at least it had a cobra hood, and front and rear bumper covers. He also had 98 Cobra wheels, so it was probabaly a 98, but you never can tell really. This was in Charleston so I doubt it was him.

Have you ever dynoed at Carl's? The reason "I" aski is because my brother was their several months ago with his Gen 1 lightning putting down a baseline with just his Bassani catback and he said that there was a Sick Black L there too.

My wife and I are driving back from a movie today in the C, when I spy an orange Cobra along side of me at a stop light. It is a guy driving, and his GF or wife. Looked young, so probably GF, But I am told I look 20, and I am 27...anyway. I role down my window, and say "what's up", which I planned on following with a "nice ride you have there". Here is what gets me. When I said "what's up" they both looked at me, and looked at each other and said nothing. Then I heard her say "he's got those clear corner lights that you have". They looked at me again, and said nothing, and drove off. I guess they thought they were special or something. They acted as if I pulled up beside of them in a vette and said "Nice POS you have there". All well, not everyone is friendly I guess.

It just shows they lack car enthusiasm thats all. I wouldnt take offence to them ignoring you, its just ignorance on there part.
