I would love to run you from a dig, mod for mod.

All i have is a midpipe, driveshaft and a tune. Bigs and littles as well.

There you go. Have a little seat time in the car and now your cocky. Good. Have you been to the track yet? You have a converter lets see those low 11's.

There are 2 guys here in OKC that have or (had) manual coyotes, and 2 others that have the auto. One manual guy is swapping to an auto trans, and the other manual guy just decided to sell the manual car and buy an auto car. Both of the other auto guys are still in love with our auto's. All 550-700 HP cars btw. Unless you are a die hard manual guy, that would be disowned by your family for driving an auto mustang, I say get an auto and never look back.

BLASHPHEMY!!! :cuss:

I have a 2B converter. For turbo application. Believe me that it doesn't benefit me right now one bit. It's super tight.:rollseyes

I guess it depends what you are going to do with your car, and how much you want a manual. My MT82 has been awesome, but I've got an MGW shifter, CHE racing torque limiters and k-member brace, I also removed the helper spring on the clutch. I beat my car on the track, (both road and 1/4 mile) and haven't had any problems with it. The problem is the remote shifter, hence my mods to correct it.
If you want a transmission that you can forget about and run consent times, get the auto.
If you really want a manual, you will want to get a quality shifter for it.
I love my manual car :)

Sounds like you re-engineered the whole car yourself to make the transmission work? Not what I expect from a 40k+ car. Glad I have a 6R80. Also have a fox body with a C-6 (indestructible) and a couple Jeeps with Torqueflite 727/999 three speed autos. NEVER a problem with any of them. I'm biased a little, I love autos. They are easier on drivelines, they take more power (more forgiving), and allow continuous power transfer. :-D

Not hardly, my car already had a k-member brace. Just swapped out the stock one with the che one so I could mount the torque limiters. The spring removal takes 5 minutes. The shirt throw shifter, well that is a must. I put those on to address the twisting of the drive train. And I didn't pay 40+ for the car, try 30. And it has been a great transmission for me :)
But, like I said, if your thinking about an auto, you should probably get an auto. You will most likely be happier in the long haul. For those of us who love manuals, an auto isn't an option :)

Well, she loves racing of any kind that involved any of my Mustangs. She's more of a spectator, not a driver. Want to street race with her in the passenger seat....she's all for it.

Winning is winning. Not my fault people buy the manual screaming, "Auto's are boring!" Then using excuses like, "You won because an auto is easier to drive."

Work smarter, not harder.
