Would you mind emailing me your data log if I pm you my email address? Yours must be fine or else you wouldn't have gotten a tune from AED. I'd like to see what a good log looks like. I'll be happy to send you mine if you are interested in seeing what shit looks like.
Thanks

It really bugs this is going on with your car, but without having the car in my possession there is not much I can do.

I will not turn off the knock sensors in any tune, and a custom tune in your car will simply yank timing down. The bad log I saw 15-16 degrees at 5500RPM. That kills power output.

If you find a solution, please let me know.
If I lived closer, you WOULD have my car in your possession. There have been 35 emails back and forth between us in the last couple of weeks and you haven't made a dime from me. A lot of that correspondence was well after business hours. That says a lot about your business and it's no wonder you have such a loyal following. Thanks

how can a dealer prove that? Do you just tell them you feel a dead spot around 5500rpm?
Good question...I have no idea where it is. I'm gonna do a search and see what I can come up with. I see the changes on the log but don't feel it when accelerating. I seriously doubt the dealer will take any action based on my datalogs. I'll pm you my email address. Thanks again.

Could the knock sensors be picking-up a loose or loud exhaust? What kind of exhaust do you have OP?

If your exhaust doesn't rattle to the touch, I wouldn't pull it off. The intake manifold comes off pretty easy. I would try that and see if they are loss.

I highly recommend you stay the course and keep trying to fix your issue and get an AED tune, do not go to a different shop that will just take your money and tune your ride and not give a ****.

Agreed. I would like to see the logs as well to get an idea of what may be going on.

^^^^^^ Amen. As a business owner I realize what a sacrifice it is to offer that type of customer service.

Just a quick update...after running out the last tank, I went to another station that actually sold unblended (nonethanol) 93 octane fuel. Thinking this would be better, and at a doller more per gallon it should have been, I did a KAM reset and relogged my WOT pull. Shaun took a look at it and said "absolutely horrific...worst timing log I've ever seen on a stock car". I then, mixed a full can of torco accelerator with 8 gallons of 93 octane premium from the Shell station, did a KAM reset again and relogged in the cooler night air. Shaun said it looked a lot better but that there is still some knock activity causing the timing to be pulled. He suggested that maybe the car has piston slap and the knock sensors are picking up on it. I really don't know what to do at this point. I feel there is probably something wrong with the car as I would imagine the torco would have taken care of the bad gas issue. The engine is quiet and seems strong so I'm not sure what my next step should be. We have a local shop (XXX Motorsports) that specializes in dyno tunes. I'm thinking of talking to them to see if they can help me sort this out. Any constructive input is welcome.
Thanks

Was there much of the non-ethanol left in the tank?

I don't have a tune, but I have an X-Cal II laying around. Can I data log my 13 GT with that? I would assume it would need to be updated since the last time I datalogged anything with it was like 8 years ago :uh oh: I am running 93 non-ethanol right now too.

Wrong!! Yur looking for trouble.... Do you need a probin'? Shaun's da man... Don't hate

lol ok Dick rider. I forgot shaun is almighty and has a answer to every single problem these cars have. The point was maybe another tuner could help come to another conclusion with Shaun. Everyone wants to look at one person for the answer...last time I checked two minds are better than one.
